  1. In Israel they would just run the defenders over with bulldozers. You probably would be hard pressed to find a dirtier source of energy than tar sands.

  2. This will continue until it is economically nonviable. You can help make it a monetary loser by using an EV, and you can do more for the environment than any other possible individual action by giving up the products of the number one producer of greenhouse gases. That would not be the fossil fuel industry, rather it is animal agriculture. Anyone who is not a vegan may talk the talk but they ain't walking the walk.
