Tesla has and is doing more than any other single enterprise to address climate change and the gov does nothing but throw roadblocks in their path. Example: 12 incidents of accidents with Tesla autopilot all of which involved drivers that did not follow warnings or use it correctly, were drunk or going 60mph over the speed limit and there is a full on investigation because of them. A small number of Teslas have caught fire due to people driving them over obstacles that penetrated the battery packs (like anchors) result: a full on investigation that demands hundreds of thousands of documents and an incredible amount of work while in 2018 alone over 600 gas cars have caught fire resulting in over 200 deaths. Result: no investigations, business as usual.

@metalbean813 Is that even legal? As far as I know, once you put your garbage out to be collected it is no longer your property.
2
@metalbean813 Oh, I believe it happened, I also believe the police acted like fools with no legal rationalization.

Delling Conley If you are either a true believer left or right you are an idiot.

@maxgrozema1093 There is no way that Conley understood your reply.

Delling Conley No doubt you are a legend in your own mind. And batshit delusional.

:41 Biden talks, but when it comes to supporting those who have done the most to address climate change like Tesla, he does the opposite of acting. He attempts to sabotage the impressive and real progress they are making. Instead he supports companies that are hopelessly behind in developing the tech and industries that will REALLY make a difference. And of course DN instead of reporting on the incredible advances by a company, whose primary goal is to address climate change, they interview the people who will benefit most from Tesla's advances, but never even mention those who are actually doing something. DN get a brain and join the real progressives that will actually do something instead of just bitching about the effects of climate change. You interview Rahim but really, what will he do to address this problem? . . . He will just bitch about the injustice of being poor, and really do NOTHING and DN will do the same . . . nothing.

Bigballs fromthefalls First of all electricity is not a fuel. Secondly electricity can be generated without using fossil fuels. How can anyone be so ignorant that they make a statement as stupid as you have?
1
@billiamc1969 Totally incorrect. Do some research get some facts and stop spreading disinformation like the jerks at Fox News.
1
@billiamc1969 Who is the ignorant one? The earth certainly generates electricity although it is not presently utilized by humanity. Go in a field during a thunderstorm and hold up a metal rod to prove this to yourself ignorant one.

@dmelson7502 Oh okay I will take your word for it instead of 99% of the scientist who study this subject -- not.
1
@dmelson7502 Good judgement on your part.

@dmelson7502 If my opinion doesn't mean sh!t to you why did you even respond? And at such length: twice. I'd say you are swimming in cognitive dissonance. Let me point out to you that I did not propose the exact cause of climate change, only that almost all scientist agree that at present is it caused by human activities. You are the one that in response to Lyra Serpentine told her she had lost her mind because she said the earth generates electricity. I pointed out that you were absolutely incorrect. Absolutely incorrect. Is that how you personally refrain from being an ass? . . . by telling someone they have lost their mind because they wrote something that is true? You can't even write a few paragraphs without contradicting yourself. ROTFLMAO . . . what a stooge. I can only imagine the subjective contortions you are now going through to try to rationalize your own rudeness and dimwittedness.

@edwardmiessner6502 Doubtful. Life and human life will adjust and survive, baring a catastrophic extinction event like a large asteroid strike or massive geological disruption. Although civilization and advanced human culture may take a big hit. It is quite romantic to posit the end of days, religion has been doing it for millennia, fits right in with the human inability to be objectively cognizant of their own personal future nonexistence: the projection of which is the end of days. Also it is not too late to totally reverse climate change, but the longer we wait the longer it will take, without resorting to drastic stratagems. For instance if forests were allowed to regrow in areas where they existed in 1800 and the remaining grasslands were grazed as is natural with herds that concentrate in defense of predation, this alone would end the problem, and switching to green energy sources would just be icing on the cake. Of course a new ice age may arrive no matter what we do. We would survive that also.

@ariesx6515 There really is no need for subsidies outside of the hesitancy of people to switch from ICE because of the inadequate charging infrastructure (not everyone can afford a Tesla, although Tesla will open it's chargers up to their competition). Climate change is the reason for the proposed subsidies, not innovation. The same people who think Trump won the election, think covid vaccine is a scam to take control of your genome, believe that Biden is a socialist, and all kinds of other brain-dead nonsense, hate EVs -- especially Tesla (strange because Tesla is the most American car if judged by American parts and labor). That's just the way it is. They are too dumb to realize how stupid they are and how they have been duped.
