@ What books would you expect to see in a Soviet children's library? There were all of them except sex education. There were books by Russian and Western writers. Of the Western authors, we had books by Jules Verne, Alexandre Dumas, Rudyard Kipling, Mark Twain, Arthur Conan Doyle, James Fenimore Cooper, James Herriot, Farley Mowat, etc. These are just some of the books we had at home, that I read and can now remember.
