  3. You’re quite a bit larger than the average Roman soldier would have been at the time. That’s why the scutum looks so small for you. Did they have any signaculum (legionary / marine dog tags)?

  5. It’s funny no matter how much things change, how much they remain the same: soldiers following friends into the service, soldiers buying their own equipment and upgrades, soldiers joining the service because their families thought they were turning into bums. lol
