Did they really ditch that guy on the stretcher to shed “dead weight” like they were in sinking ship or airplane operating on one engine? 0:24

The one thing I’ll say is that while 🇷🇺 losses are astronomical and at least 4x times higher, 🇺🇦 losses are much, much higher than you’ll hear in any media. I’ve been able to determine that based on the number of Ukrainians who have received prosthetic limbs since 2/24/22 for which there is lots of publicly available data. Anyway, while Russia makes ludicrous claims, the only time Ukraine pulled numbers out of their behinds was regarding VKS airframe losses during the first few months of the war which was for propaganda losses when everything seemed to be hanging by a string. Besides that, the numbers they report on Russian losses rarely exceeds the true total by more than 15%. They know that if they make up silly numbers that cannot be confirmed as accurate within a decent margin, people will not take anything they say seriously. Unlike 🇷🇺, a loss of trust and credibility is not something 🇺🇦 can afford.

The fact that they sent riot police with the Vanguard shows they really did believe it would be over in three days (or, at most, within a week).

I’m his CIA handler’s intermediary. Neither of us could believe the US gov was willing to pay us for something we’d happily do for free.

Lapin, the gift that never stops giving. Just like War Archive. BTW, I love how an entire Russian armored battalion retreated simply because their commander disappeared. 12:40

We have to give Russia’s Black Sea fleet credit for how successful they were in attacking hospitals, maternity wards, schools, shopping malls and apartment buildings.

@AmericanKiaser35 Speaking English “American Kaiser.”

Aside from those abandoned due to mud or fuel, I’d like to hear about why they abandoned so many MBTs, BMPs, trucks + even SAMS & ADS. And how many were able to be manned and put into use quickly (I’m assuming few extra tankers were on hand). For the tracked vehicles, maybe minor issues like a thrown track? Civilians hauling back $50m+ in equipment ranging from radars to MBTs in just a handful of days and in just one area is legendary. Hope, they were given the monetary rewards later established for recovering enemy equipment.

No, a good time was had by all. If you look closely, you can see they’re all just using paintballs.

@Jimbotheone They were all operated by captured combat mosquitoes. That’s why the ratio is so low.

This war is easily as much as an informational war as it a kinetic war since so much of what Ukraine’s allies and enemies decide to do are based on superficial perceptions. So, primarily PsyOp type raids like these are worth far more than the tiny amount of resources they require. There were a couple raids though in which I felt they lost more assets than were necessary. IMO, they should not have ever stuck around when significant Russian forces approached. The Spodariushino raid was especially wasteful. One major benefit is that it likely helped with the Kursk offensive because Russia likely thought it was just another raid/feint (obviously, the great job they did massing so many forces without detection was critical too).

@mikes989 Can you provide or direct us to a video which shows a group’s size being reduced to two? Not saying it isn’t possible, but I highly doubt anyone is filming an entire withdrawal from start to finish.

41:39 - why does it look like that BMP-2 is firing two autocannons at once? 53:40 - that’s one of the most badass tank commanders ever.

IMO, easily the hardest large scale (relatively large anyway) operation to judge. As noted, way too many highly trained men were lost, but it seemed to be the crucible in which the AFU’s drone units gained their wings and we have to assume such a huge concentration of some of Russia’s best forces slowed down progress in other areas and likely saved many lives. We’ll really likely never know for sure the balance on the whole, but if we get some tell all books in coming years from both Ukrainian and Russian commanders who knows the exact number of men and equipment lost or even just hung up there and how they believe it impacted other fronts, we may get a better idea.
3
That was another thing I was guessing and we know Russia already had awful readiness rates and maintenance practices before the war even began. So, that’d likely cover a huge % of other abandoned vehicles. It also shows how ill trained many of these crews are that many weren’t even capable of enough basic field maintenance to at least get them limping back (especially since we’re talking hundreds of pieces of equipment).

Ukraine told him not to leave Ukraine and that they wouldn’t be safe. Others have done this and stayed safe.

1 day for Mykolaiv, 2 days for Odessa, 3 days for Kyiv. All is going according to the plan… It’s pathetic that neither the Tor or Strela-10 could even take out TB-2s which are slow + big enough to see on radar.

It’d be easier to report what was working on their flagship than what wasn’t working. It was basically a very uncomfortable yacht.

Happy to see a young man who survived his service to his county and the world. Just donated (only $25, but every bit helps and I’m a bit tapped out after donating thousands so far to other Ukrainian fundraisers).

BTW, I’m Jewish and love Azov. Russian disinfo is incredibly effective. So many people really thought Azov was some Neo-Nazi group. They’d use pictures of their own soldiers who had Swastika tattoos and claim they’re Azov and find one or two weird Azov guys who maybe had weird views, but there’s always a few guys with crazy views in every group. Our government knows the truth, but they worry too much about optics.

This was such a fascinating CO. I remember watching them go over all those wide open fields and thinking “what a nightmare of an area to recapture. How is this going to work?” Pairing it with the Kharkiv CO was amazing because they drained so many forces and ISR attention from Kharkiv which enabled its capture and then made then temporarily think Kherson was a feint as well as putting C&C into utter chaos.

Ironically, your mispronunciation of First Donetsk Army Corps as First Dontesk Army “corpse” is hilariously appropriate. Those who stayed to defend the city and voluntarily take a one-way trip to join them are unbelievably ballsy.

The DPR and LPR residents must have been thrilled to lose almost their entire male population to gain a couple dozen square km of now useless territory.

There are so many examples of Russia’s preparations being just a joke. Had they just Google Maps instead of old Soviet maps, maybe they wouldn’t have been constantly running out of fuel and getting lost.

Another master stroke by the Russians. 😂 BTW, of course it was planned by Lapin. Only he’s that incompetent.

Thank you for sharing the name of the pilot anytime you mention an AFU plane being shot down.

Good.

Without glide bombs, Russia would have already been defeated. Anyway, that spirit he talks about is no joke. The videos from the 3rd and 12th brigades are all wild and so radically different from almost all the other units. Brave, highly professional, highly motivated and a bit crazy.

I sent endless info to politicians about the Russian MO: they’re emboldened by restraint, appeals to negotiate or, worst of all, appeals to humanity, but are quick to back down when someone hits back. They’re very slowly learning but too slowly and it’s cost so many Ukrainian lives.

Interviews with sappers, snipers, tankers, etc. provide some of the most useful insights I’ve seen. So, please continue to interview AFU personnel. I learned a lot from multiple interviews with a foreign sapper who operated with AFU SoF for more than a year. You never what small detail will allow you to crack the why and the how of a particular issue.

It was recently confirmed the second A-50 was also, in fact, hit by PATRIOT too.

Describing Gen. Marzoev as an “infamous Russian officer” is redundant. It’s like saying “the evil Satan.” It goes without saying.
1
He was unlikely to have been killed in America. Sure, they could probably find him, but the blowback wouldn’t have been worth it. Meanwhile, Spain hasn’t done much for Ukraine and has allowed many Russian exiles to be killed there.

We shouldn’t be thanked for the M777s and half the other stuff we gave. Our government was so excited to unload it and replace it with much newer toys. We’re already phasing out M777s. M113s and DPICM were literally costing us millions because we destroying them and that’s expensive.

It’s interesting how YouTube doesn’t allow you to say the “r word” in videos or write it in the comments. It was Russia’s most widespread war crime.

I manually counted 🇷🇺 infantry losses using hundreds-of-videos + pics from a 10-day period in mid-Feb. and identified 3,283 KIA + roughly 1,400 WIA. That’s nearly 5K casualties alone. IIRc, the UAF’s claims for 🇷🇺 losses during that 10-day period was circa 9k casualties. It took nearly two-weeks to examine all that media and cross-reference to make sure I wasn’t double counting anything. I’m sure there were also many casualties not visible on camera or simply never filmed.

Another brilliant video that future historians will find incredibly useful. That’s if we have any future once Trump and Musk are done with us.
