  2. It’s ridiculous that we’re not 90% powered by nuclear energy at this point. Beyond Chernobyl and other stigmas around nuclear energy, I actually put about 10% blame on The Simpsons for instilling view of nuclear energy as dirty and locally dangerous subconsciously in the minds of billions of fans worldwide.

  9.  @---uf2zl Fukushima is a great example of a plant where everything was run terribly, where the plant was setup in a ridiculous location and was due to a 500-year quake and Tsunami. And it STILL could have been prevented had Japanese authorities not been more concerned with saving face than stopping a melt down and accepted outside help.

  12. I don’t why so many people say this. Korean War vets get respect. And of course Vietnam is more depicted in popular culture. We were there for almost 20 years and the war ended nearly 25 years after the Korean War.
