  1. They were there long before COVID. The lockdown went on too long. But if we had had no lock down, there would have been far more deaths, but more importantly, even more people being treated for non-COVID medical problems wouldn’t have gotten treated. I have a friend who died from complications from an issue he was supposed to have been operated for. Due to how packed the hospital was from COVID, his surgery was delayed by months and months.
