I think racing series will eventually figure out not to depend on manufacturers and realize they need to be focused on live entertainment quality and TV entertainment for fans rather than tenuous racing/road car tech relevancy. F1 in particular will stop relying on auto makers and realize they only need the best drivers in cars that are the fastest around a lap, make great noise and allow for close racing. For all the talk about F1 is only F1 if the tech is the most advanced, it has never been that. There’s always been tech they’ve avoided for the show. F1 is F1 it has the best drivers, most international schedule, Wild sounding and looking cars that over a lap are fastest. They’ll go back to independent makers whose only business is racing. The budgets will be smaller and there may even been a spec engine, but the chassis won’t be. I’d love to see that.
