  2. They need to make cuts in other area. There are plenty of questionable projects in terms of need and cost + lots of way to become more financially efficient. They could also take the unprecedented step of having a few trusted partners involved in its development to spread the cost. We wouldn’t necessarily need to share any of the technical data prior to service, just guarantee they’d be able to buy as many as they wanted. But I don’t mind the idea of a modified B-21 paired with AI wingmen and 5th gen fighters basically, collectively filling the NGAD role.

  3. Alex Hollings is air superiority! It’s why pilots call going Mach 2 “Holling ass.” Anyway…let’s start building F-22s again with the latest tech, including AI wingmen. It’d likely save 30%+ and we’d know it’d work.
