@piotrd.4850 The F-15EX is about the greatest thing ever built. It’s basically a B-52 with 5x the speed, 25x the agility and even more wild, not that much less payload capacity. Its also get that sexy new beast of a radar.

@Wised1000 I hear the B-52s are actually insanely expensive to operate (I know they were insanely expensive to procure at the time). How is it more economical to keep a fast yet ancient de facto cargo plane flying than simply designing and building a new one seeing as it’s a pretty simple platform? Whatever the answer, I will always be routing for the B-52 to stay in service forever.

Doubt it since we know dudes in sandals living in caves are no longer our quarry. Sensitive Iranian, NK, Russian and Chinese facilities and systems are.

I’m assuming we’ve vastly increased the B2’s sensor suite over the decades. So, it’s definitely not operating on 80s tech anymore.

Like F1, which has transitioned to using mostly digital sims for development and testing, ASI is using that to make dev faster and more economical. In F1 there are even rules limiting their hours spent using CFD to prevent the cars from becoming too fast and secondarily to keep the bigger teams from gaining too much of an advantage.
