  11. Kidnapping children over animosity about a dead leader makes zero sense, unless they were used to be ransomed which wouldn’t really make sense as political revenge. Who knows what mixture of metals, wood, fuel and other chemicals were in that house to burn those little bones beyond trace.

  13. To me it seems obvious or likely that a) it became a sort known site for depositing pilgrims who died along the way or b) it was a place where bandits obviously lay in wait for pilgrims and just tossed them in there. The weird cracks are due to freeze/frost cycles.

  14. I hate the attitude that we should hide knowledge from the public because a few people might do something dangerous with the knowledge. A kid can just grab a gun if they’re bored. I’d rather have David Kahns out there. An educational attitude that respect thst children can become responsible adults far earlier than college should be promoted. We’re raising useless, fragile fools these days.

  17. Humans throwing shit at each other is how many of history’s most important events were begun and were finished. It’s crazy how much Boris Johnson looks like an ape. I’ve always secretly hoped humans were special and not just an evolutionary step, but believing that would be like believing the world was created in seven days.
