But the true blame belongs to the media for manufacturing narratives like “war fatigue” (a ridiculous concept when people aren’t even paying attention to begin with), not communicating the fact that the war is basically costing us nothing because 80% of the arms given were scheduled to be disposed or were already being scrapped), focusing on a regional flare up (Israel) that doesn’t effect the world at all, not explaining that resupplying arms is generating a lot of jobs in the US right now in highly skilled areas, why the outcome of the war will impact us generations to come, etc. (the White House shares the blame here too for all these narratives except fatigue).

  3. Ukraine’s infrastructure maintenance workers and volunteers are heroes. It’s amazing how fast they get things back online. They’re also better prepared this year to quarantine service cuts and restore services more quickly.

  4. No breaks from the cold is what make is so horrible. It also makes it dangerous. After a while it breaks your entire system down.

  6. I get not wanting immigration from fundamentalist countries, but the newly elected party has gotten financing from Russia and opposes giving military aid to Ukraine.

  7. BTW, to be clear, despite being a liberal, I wouldn’t want “those” people immigrating to my country. They don’t share their host countries’ values, but they’re happy to exploit their social welfare system and more importantly, the good will of their host countries. Of course they’re ruining philanthropic culture.
