Seems like they could just cover up the whole “pond.” I love when he talks about big burly miners getting choked about seeing the dead birds. I think an amazing % of people care about animals. I rarely come across a person who doesn’t care.

@danp2509 I never said it would be easy. However, here in California where there’s severe drought, we put reflective balls over the entire surface of reservoirs to minimize evaporation, which also leaves no area for birds to land. There’s no reason they couldn’t do the same here.

It’s the republicans who never want to fund education because keeping the American people ignorant is the only way they can stay in power. @Jonah Whale That’d be my first reaction/suggestion if we didn’t already know how corrupt the system is. The system works like this: company makes 5 billion dollars, does 2.5 billion in damage and if we’re lucky, they get fined 100 million. No surprise they’ll do it again and again with impunity.

@Jonah Whale No, they just really believe in that guy’s policies. His position on the congressional subcommittee which sets the EPA’s budget and agenda has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with.
