  2. 51:35 - that footage followed by the sound inside the lobby of person after person after person after person crashing onto the ceiling of the lobby is haunting. I can’t imagine scaling 100 floors after that. I got accidentally locked into the ER stairs of the Aon Center on the 67th floor and just walking DOWN that far left my legs like jelly for two days and I was in great shape and 20 at that time. Going up 100 in full gear...Jesus.

  7. 11:30 - just like a soldier. It’s job you don’t want to need to do yet at the same time you want to do. As for the NYFD battalion chief, it’s gotta be hard when everyone is looking to you for answers and you’ve got so few answers and so few tools at your disposal. I remember turning on the TV just about 30 mins after the South Tower had been hit and watched the whole thing and it only gets more surreal with time.
