  1.  @TempvsMortis  the riots were primarily Irish-led, but the only difference was that the Irish were fighting against black freedmen and rich white men, rather than the Nativists. A black man was even shown to be a Dead Rabbit, which would be impossible.

  2. The movie is a bit theatrical especially with the costumes and especially Bill the Butcher, but the gangs existed for sure.
