  8.  @arthurlenko9598  it's not the prisoner quotas, it's the factory workers in the steel mills. Someone had to produce a level of steel or assembled machinery or be punished. In the gulag no one cared how much you did, it was meant to break you and kill you.

  13. cashless is pretty common in Eastern Europe. In some places like Tallinn and Prague you can do everything by card. It was a kiosk in a major train station of course, elsewhere it might be cash only.
