Actually yes seems he said live streams not broadcast tv live, yes so ringway live, bbb, auditors, news citizen journalism live etc are no licence, as indeed news print media who do cover majors things live at times, but an actual tv broadcaster showing stuff from there studio at sane time, ok maybe a few seconds differance but I'd classed live TV broadcast links, and no matter where from, a licence neded
Of course u can just say what you want of say nothing and take chances, but I honest don't watch watch live TV broadcast on any device

So despite bbc and media trying there was no prosecution from this case in fact not even any issues with authority at all, not one phone call or letter
Had worlr media on doorstep, interview on bbc and it shows and news, paperes, radio station, interest in parliament by Simon Hughes, but not one official
Was know to special branch had been in what they call purple collaters watch list, this was anyone who at first might be suspicious turning up at royal events, once they realised I wasn't a danger it was joke with Buckingham Palace police, telling me men in black wanted to speak to me, and when Buckingham Palace first opened up, those guys telling me while in St James park there's no way your going to be let in to the palace

@stuartvaughan8599 as said I didn't want to get involved and he asked me few weeks ago but I can't stop him from doing a piece however as I've just emailed him, was a complex issue involving a member I chucked from group who was police impersonator, intelligence officer and paramedics impersonator who served jail time for things there Including fraud, in story bbc said, intelligence officer says he's a danger to the country publishing frequencies etc
In fact that was what tge judge said to him when he went down for driving a car on m25 stopping females and then using a radio to pretend to be an officer
But he's gradually afaik got on with his life, and wish him well and me too, we are both on autistic spectrum etc
I try and just maintain a quite life main listening is mostly military airband, vhf civil, marine and local farms can be interesting at times and yes other stuff at times
At that time special branch wanted me to file a complaint to bbc about how they did the story, I refused there was no government comeback, at that date or after and no one ever told me stop publishing information and indeed ofcom ot old radio agency used my database to go after users who were using radios illegally ie taxi companies losing licence and yet still on my databases as still used
Had a guy ex radio agency tell me this

Most people were not just hams prosecutions were very low, yes ok I was more than 10 times but I was at demonstrations passing info to those involved, was also informing media, was there at bombings, royal and military events, sporting events loaded up with royal protection, special branch military intelligence and lots more, I took the risk lost radios, and just got more
Was on royalty protection collater list, so my photos and details were given, one day was doing scanning on bus nr Victoria Station, trooping the colour so I stayed using buses when my name and he's under admiralty arch came up, well I knew wasn't me, they got him and it was queen mums chef in the crowd lol
When Buckingham Palace first opened I joined queue st James Park, men in black came up said your mot going on there
King if Jordan visited one day bp, gate officer at no said mib want to talk to you, I stood there 20 minutes, was never held so was odd, asked officer what's going on he said soryy was only joking lol
By that time I wss not on the collater list anymore was classed as safe they knew I had my scanners and was listening, when arrested 2009 under terrorism act they checked me with special branch and they cleared me, and was taken off terrorist arrest charge

Which was mostky due to technical advances not dien to freq listening and sharing freqs, and indeed the hobby has continued for many, yes police was great but was never my only thing, marine, commercial pmr, fire uhf, military and civil airband all getting more and more not less, yes much dmr but mist not encrypted, still have lots
Many commercial pmr still on samr freqs over 35 years but dnr etc others in new freqs and of course many new licences on ofcom databases, though sone are change if licence not just new, then uk business licences short term stuff, events Farnborough airshie had starmers protection on the dmr, telling me where he was arriving and what locations he was going to so lots if interesting coms at times

Terence cooper the man who was behind my brush with BBC in 2002 and just a handful of cases he
has been involved in
It seems Scotland is where he started but I know of dealings in dorset reading and home counties
He was also well known to many in the amateur radio world especialy dealers who many have unpaid
bills of which none afaik ever took him to court as waste of time and money
Then of course he set up the police stop website where he again went around taking pics often
behind police cordons in riots and other situations of which many times he said he made arrests and
filmed himself with police on the ground who foolishly believed he was intelligence or police etc
That was taken down by police in end I believe but I don’t think he was charged with anything
Thrill-freak Terence Cooper had his own operations HQ, the Record can reveal today.
Weirdo Cooper, who allegedly posed as mercy men and police officers, ran his 999- fantasy world
from his own flat.
We have gained access to the rooms where Cooper is said to have planned his bizarre stunts, posing
as a member of the emergency services he hero-worshipped.
His den is littered with a magpiecollection of books, magazines and brochures on the police, fire and
ambulance services.
It's claimed Cooper frequently turned up at the scene of accidents impersonating fire and police
officers or medics.

He's suspected of being involved in incidents as far apart as the south of England, Edinburgh and
the north of Scotland.
It's also claimed he posed as a policeman at Dunblane just days after last month's tragedy.
And he is even believed to have pretended to be a UN observer in the former Yugoslavia, where he
was arrested by Croatian authorities.
The Record revealed yesterday how senior officers from all eight Scottish forces met in Perth to
discuss how to tackle Cooper.
And the 27-year-old bachelor's Walter Mittylifestyle is in tattersas police forces all over the UK
investigate a string of cases.
He is now in Porterfield Prison, Inverness, awaiting sentence after admitting fraudulently obtaining
confidential details about police operations.
Jason McGuire, who rented Cooper his flat in Shandwick Place, Edinburgh, told how he got the fright
of his life one night when he saw a bullet- proof vest lying in the hall.
Jason, 32, said: "I let him the flat through a friend and at first he seemed okay.
"The neighbours, who are mostly older people, thought the world of him.

Yes 10 times or more arrested, 4 times cases dropped, 1 time magistrates praised me attacked the officer for his time and was acquitted, rest c lost radios but many times I coukd stand with police cutting to them and no arrest
One time Buckingham Palace as was well known by royalty protection was told first day of Buckingham Palace opening up, to. Leave the queues by police royal. Protection, no arrest, no searches just leave the queue
Another time officer at the gate told me men in black want to speak with Me and named Me as they'd seen me on camera, I waited and waited, asked when are they coming nd said he was joking
When police had sttomo radios, was at Wimbledon and had passed on to Wimbledon security and police information ref ticket touts on 169.2625 radios, officers happily let me carry on listening to them

Sad even governments website listing freqs has a mix of old unused and current licences so even that's not fully accurate, but it's ano5her good resource
But close call on uniden especially events and sites is fantastic on scanners, finds the freqs and give the audio, and as said on the digital scanners will decode non encrypted stuff as well
Take imperial war Duxford museum, on site vhf air, display teams vhf and uhf coms, the sites own uhf repeaters and non dmr singles as well, you would find modt freqs relative quickly on such a site, and 3ven better if using a dmr scanner
Last year Swiss version of red arrows there, stood by tower as guy on ground spoke to them and straight away a new freq for them I hadn't had then checked in on another, close call hit the freqs as being used
