I went past the supreme court the other day and there were photographers there peering thru where they go from the armored truck to the courthouse. One was standing on a crate to get higher. 2 cops were there. With the bigger drug cases the cops are usually packing pump action shotguns.

Whole classes had "dress up as Harry Potter" day and in some cases WHOLE SCHOOLS were MEANT TO read it as part of curriculum set by teachers. That's THE REAL story Styx. But all the other books that were passed over. No "dress up as X character" day or anything.....

They've borrowed huge ro invest and the returns are hopeless, they have a shadow banking crisis which means their on book debt is like 10% of their actual debt, but the kicker is that their 2009 labor act makes wages go up 14% EACH YEAR since 2009. 80% of the garment industry is gone or getting ready to go, some of the garment company owners and their managers left to go to Bangladesh 3 years ago and now speak the local language. It's quickly loosing the "cheap labor" it had and they will be faced with 1 person working for every 5 on the old age pension WHICH STARTS age 56........

  27. I have OFTEN said to Americans that tariffs are a good thing, but until trump, most Americans were very skeptical of them. America ALWAYS goes on about free trade and originally that meant no tariffs BUT they had "other measures" like the bizarre car import rules and subsidies. I know tariffs done Australia A LOT OF GOOD. But then they removed them and many unskilled workers lost their jobs, right off the back of a recession too (thanks government) and couldn't find anything for a year as a result. THEN in that year they FELL INTO THE WELFARE TRAP, wouldn't get out of bed before lunchtime, some got into drugs and except for the ones who were close to retirement anyway, QUITE A FEW of those unskilled workers have never worked since....

  32. They already had a "business park" where the managers would cross over from the south daily. They REALLY WON'T just open the borders. The south koreans fear that THE MOST because they know the northerners would work for nothing and it would cause the south to collapse and likely riot against the northerners. There will be some slower type of opening instead, or maybe never a full blown "we're moving to the south" one. At least not for the first 20 years. The idea being to let the north catch up before any possibility of complete opening of the borders. Even NK defectora recognize that instantly becoming one country again would be detrimental to BOTH SIDES.
