Pennies or a quarter??? What you never lift the back seats??? I had a car I hadn't used in a while. Live mouse with his nest in the air filter. Chewed a decent hole in the filter. He was genuinely surprised to see me.

I found when I started my own business I suddenly had twice the strength and could work 12 hours days compared to just being employed.

You now there's a feminist who done this with white rags and displayed them all in an art show??? In the USA..... how times change.

Here in Australia with taxes you can buy tools STRAIGHT UP and it's just a business expense/work expense and you will pay ZERO income tax. It gets a bit harder with vehicles because the only allow "commercial vehicles" which HAS ACTUALLY driven the price of pickups and vans to ridiculous levels.

Oil pouring down the side of the block at 50k MILES. That's a VW dealership case I've heard of slong with HEAPS of others with major issues under 80k miles. Yeah I'd say it's NOT perception..... it's just german cars. Look at BMW engines and all the constant runs of preventative maintenance and ALUMINUM HEAD BOLTS that break causing oil leaks and blown head gaskets...... it's just german cars IN GENERAL. with Mercedes-Benz it's all electrical issues instead.

I heard about these women in the USA. But here in Australia, it's rare enough for a girl to even hit on an unmarried man. They all expect you to put in the effort.

Erm.... you HAVEN'T SEEN the zip ties with the release tabs????

I actually LIKE THE FACT you talk about VW problems. I'm SICK TO DEATH of these BMW lovers who PRETEND their BMW has never had a single problem. It makes me sick because BMWs DO HAVE many problems and I hate denial....

One of the simplest engines ever in the B series. Great vehicle to own because they're so stunningly simple it's like something out if WW2.

I never knew ring filing machines EXISTED. And the multiple cleans and fusiness I would never bother with..... to finally get to the pistons going in and you SQUEEZE THEM IN BY HAND. Holy smoke, I have seen piston ring holders as a 12 year old.... I have never heard of anyone with access to that stuff NOT using it.

@Jale299 trying to burst these imaginary bubbles that people get into. When I started a business I come to realize that the customer is your NEW boss and you never really "escape bosses". I also learned I was hopeless at giving quotes.

10:50 NOOO. There's guys who occasionally put it back wrong and there's guys who just LIE THAT they have never put it back wrong.

Here the guys who hae teeth missing, haven't shaved in a week, and got plenty of tattoos are ACTUALLY THE BEST mechanics in my country. The ones who have clean overalls and a snobbish attitude.... aren't trusted by NORMAL people. Only trusted by arrogant rich people. And what my brother in law was telling me about the service desk guy at the isuzu dealership for his work vehicle..... it was obvious he couldn't tell a ratchet from a spanner.

ORRR places like one I worked at would have the tools disappear. I remember we had a few specialized tool of a particular type, told SPECIFICALLY NOT to put them in our lockers because the next shift will need them, OF COURSE blaming newer employees while the newer guys saw someone who had been there for YEARS actually whack one in their locker. Honestly someone should have spoken up....

I find with me it comes down to management who can't manage to get their shoes tied up. And then my once realistic work load goes ridiculous while STILL having to kiss their butt. And owners who can't spend $20 on something badly needed while driving a $100K Mercedes-Benz.
