As they mature they try to bite you. Or charge at you. It's instincts. They're VERY heavy for their size and damn strong. And according to the natives, damn tasty. In South Australia they used to have a huge amount of them to the point some farmers said they had more wombats than sheep.

My thoughts exactly. They're SERIOUSLY heavy and more like a guinea pig on steroids with a solid frame.

These were ridiculously overpopulated in South Australia years ago. Some farmers used to say they had more wombats than sheep.

@DoritoDiamond it sounds bad and they look NOTHING like them. More like miniature capybaras.

They tend to bite and attack out of instinct when they get older.

SURE.... they bite and attack you out of instinct once their juvenile years start to end.

RESCUING A WILD sparrow..... just LEAVE wild stuff alone.

You know these things KILL foxes by crushing their heads against the top of their burrows.... they put their butt down enough for the fox to try to gey it's head in the hole specifically above their back before their EXTREMELY strong legs and big bony plate in their butt lift up so hard they crush the skull. Apparently they just drag the body just far enough so they can get in and out of the burrow and burrows have been found with dead foxes next to their giant hole.

They're like miniature capybaras. Koalas have reserved the teddy bear status here.

Once they're out of their juvenile years, they try to bite you with the 2 inch teeth or ram you. It's instinct and it's very rare if they don't do it. In the end you can't handle them at all.
