  1. what do you mean BUY THIS TECH? its a friggin ionizer. i had one in my bedroom IN THE EIGHTIES. they are nothing new. just that the average yuppie doesn't know about anything that doesn't come from walmart or they haven't seen advertised. there is TONS of technology out there that the average joe has no clue about. and I own plenty of things that use those odd technologies.

I live primarily off solar, but I'm not that stupid that I don't realise the massive amount of energy used to make solar panels, and the massive pollution and toxic crap that goes into making electric cars. do you know what they have to do to make the batteries that go into the prius? shit that can cause acid rain. electronics and decent batteries have A LOT of chemicals and toxic shit used to make them. but all greenies just GLOSS OVER IT coz they have no idea of production just coz it doesn't happen RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. and the fact almost none of them have worked in the manufacturing industry. especially not electronics manufacturing.

  3. ***** cardboard house I won, solar powered fridge in my house, propane powered freezer, you ever seen those thermos flasks that the 2 sides flip out with mirrors on them and you have an evactuated tube in there (like new solar hot water technology). it looks like a thermos flask but actually heats the water in it. solar cooking dishes, common in india and china. then there is stirling engines which I show on my channel (most not running, they even had an austrian made desk fan), plus a steam powered sawmill, steam powered earth moving, gasification which is running petrol vehicles off gas extracted from wood by pyrolisis (I done a video with The Do It Yourself World where I improvised one with a coffee tin), peltiers and thermo electric generators, Titanium Dioxide air purifiers. quite a number of these things are on my channel which you would find with the search bit on my channels front page.

HE SAID IT. 1100-1500 watts. literally about as much as a normal vacuum cleaner. or microwave. less than your average kettle or blow heater. i sometimes feel I am the only person on earth that looks at the wattage rating tags on appliances. hell most people in my country have about 3000 watts of solar panels on their rooves.

  5. Ghost Emblem You are right. I can tell you from my experienc, smog like chinas would probably set your panels back to produce about 5% of their rating. I get about 10% on an overcast day here, which is consoderably brighter than the overcast days of europe or USA.

BAD FOR THE OZONE? get off the drugs. i HAD ONE of these ionizers in my bedroom as a kid. its like an electrostatic charge in the way it makes all of the airborne particles fall to the ground. it has NOTHING to do with gasses that may harm the ozone. you think that something with a top consumption of a lousy 1500 watts, less powerful than an electric kettle is going to screw up some layer of gas 60 kilometers up! you don't know ozone from bath salts.

  9. C Cannon 80% of the electricity made in Tasmania is hydro. but it doesn't suit everywhere. considering most of australia is semi-desert.

  10. Chinese style. Live on site under basic conditions, foing things on a shoestring, using recycled bits, ALL on a massive scale. They use those same wall mounted fans for ventilation at battery hen farms on the back of the sheds.

  11. its an ionizer. ever owned one FOR REAL? i had one in my bedroom as a kid. the particles just hit the ground. its like electrostatic charge in the way it works. the fact is if there WAS wind, all this smog would ALREADY BE GONE. and that's the way chinese cities usually get rid of their smog. you wait and then one day the wind picks up overnight and the next morning much of the smog is gone.

  12. atomgonuclear i think you are right. 1500 watts doesn't seem a great deal. and I think it WAS a closed environment model. I mean you get a breeze and all the other smog continuously blows in and then thing becomes pointless.
