  1. Imagine being 30 years old and having spent years in food shortages/famines and war. Then when it's all over you have very little direction over your life and end up in some dead end factory job dying of boredom listening to constant crap on the radio telling you how your life is the best in the world. While hearing that most Americans own a car and have done so for decades and you're trying to get yourself sorted with a bicycle and spend a lot of time on public transport.

  6. It's basically the same today but more often it's what the media SAYS we think when we actually don't. You can tell when media youtube channels have the comments turned off then they're saying something like "Australians want" and it's got about a 97% dislike ratio.

  7.  @Fattybryce  so much is LOCAL knowledge. I have different pest issues than my parents only half a mile away. I get certain insects they don't. I seem to have native peas no problems while they don't. I have parts of my place where the clay has quite a bit of sand and they have zero sand. But much is ESTIMATED decisions, what time to plant, how bad pests are this year, local talk on disease outbreaks, etc.

  9.  @1337penguinman  i have heard similar. A local guy married a Russian or Ukrainian girl or something. They bought her mother over probably under our "last surviving parent" visa. The old mother was ABSOLUTELY STUNNED by the supermarket. She thought it might be a monthly stall but was blow away when she learned it was open EVERY day!!!

My mums dutch friends say that in Holland you HAVE TO register your new address to align yourself with your old one.... they brainless say it's GREAT because "old friends can find you". Yeah, as well as people you hate, perverts, stalkers, debt collectors, and whatever else.....

  12. It WAS interesting because MANY yugoslavs who ended up in Australia have talked fondly of the old country. You get the feeling that many were HAPPY with the system they had before the country fell to bits on ETHNIC lines, not political. Still never got the infrastructure that the USSR had. Still to this day, small towns have no power and dirt tracks as roads.

  18. 1:54-1:57 WATCH FACTORY. The soviets had a habit of all watch factory workers wearing white and mainly women for the assembly because they have finer motor skills. Notice the eyepieces (10× magnification) and what thry are working on is the guts of the watch. Putting the cogs in and bridges that hold them along with the ton of screws. I collect soviet watches.

  20. Crazy how now the chinese are effectively trying to colonize Africa THEMSELVES. The chinese get all their cheap stuff not made in china, but made in Africa. They're using factories and money to turn many african governments into lapdogs. While getting 40 year tax breaks on their factories.

People who explain jokes that need significant prior knowledge to people who have no idea, are as bad as the youtube spanish lessons done.... IN SPANISH.   26. More interesting is the American general that was in a car accident and woke up speaking fluent russian. I heard something like the Russians actually SWAPPED the real one for an exact lookalike who had been taught all his habits and preferences and fluent American english along with all the phrases and colloquialisms.

They pushed the nazis back to Germany and then decided all the countries they liberated could NOW ONLY be communist countries that they had HEAVY influence on.

  30. 5:15 "we defeated germany AND JAPAN". Yeah they done a FEW THINGS with Japan and took one of their islands which they STILL HAVE. But I remember someone dropped 2 nukes and then OCCUPIED the place..... along with some aussies occupying it too. I know this because some who fought with my grandfather went on to be part of the occupation force and might have had a few Japanese babies.... my grandfather was more interested in getting back home so he didn't want to go to Japan.
