  2. Yeah. I worked for Peri Corporation, a German modular formwork manufacturer and MOST stuff these days is tensioned with bigger bolts than the average joe has ever seen. Reinforced concrete is more made for VERTICAL stress loads. And while it can support itself horizontally, it's only a CERTAIN AMOUNT. But nearly everyone uses the post tensioned method these days. We even used to sell the conduit that they would put the cables/rods into.

  4. I've worked for Peri Corporation, a German modular formwork manufacturer. And I can tell you RIGHT NOW that that's seriously SERIOUSLY undersupported. If it was carrying 4 inches of concrete it would be fine but 6 inches with that would be probably be too much. I'm not an engineer although I KNOW how our product was used and the spans were DAMN close.
