  4. 7:40.... what REALLY killed the British car industry: Overpowered unions, endless strikes, even strikes in SUPPORT OF OTHER STRIKES.... and in the end, the WHOLE COUNTRY had slowly killed itself until thatcher come in but by the 80s, even WITH thatcher, their car industry was hanging by a thread.... you got part right at the start when you said that this car was really based on a 60s car. And THAT THERE, every new model being a STOP GAP, and just a NEW SKIN on decades old parts.... that's what killed them. They COULD GET the technology but had NO money for development costs....
