Same here in Australia and 2 of the major chains have a company policy that you get it FOR FREE if the price is wrong

QUITE LITERALLY the reason was to avoid Detroits unions. And it helped that unemployment was high, people were poor and power was the cheapest in the US because of the huge coal reserves there. There's documentaries on this. Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Mercedes and probably a WHOLE TON more are all generally in the Kentucky Alabama region.

@ZoeyCrimson there's actual documentaries on this. High unemployment, low wages, no existing auto union presence, and the cheapest electricity in the US because of huge fial deposits were THE REASON Toyota and then A PILE of others set up factories there and if you look they're all within a 200 mile radius. Toyota, Mercedes, Hyundai, Kia, probably a whole bunch of others I can't even remember all in Kentucky and Alabama.

@mattiashakansson2865 Germany has unions for ALMOST EVERY company with over 200 people.

In Australia they left a 50% off discount price sign up on coffee and I GOT IT for the discount price when I spoke up. In OTHER big chains they'll actually give it to you FREE. I got a free premade salad one day because of that. Over here they've got SERIOUS in the lst couple of years FORCING them to not only have the price but UNIT pricing, like price per litre, kilogram or 100 grams ON the price label on the shelf. And also HEALTH STAR ratings on all food and best yet is the COUNTRY OF ORIGIN BY PERCENTAGE on it with a little meyer thing printed to show how much Australian product is in it. Otherwise they'll list up to THREE origin countries and if totally unknown they just put 100% imported product on it. Pine nuts come from Afghanistan and they don't want to say so it just gets 100% imported product on it. It's good because I don't buy most of the food imported from china, particularly canned fruit. I get the Australian or maybe Philippines one because I avoid the chinese one. Some of it has been terribly acidic or something wrong with the fruit. I am not damn well TOUCHING the chinese stuff. Thailand, Philippines, USA or Australia. Nothing else. Except Turkish dried apricots which are fantastic
