  2. Believe me, the poor have STAYED poor. A lot of the wealth in china goes to very few. They have a drive to work and get wealthy far beyond that of most westerners. They are masters at making stuff from almost nothing, or making products from stuff that was rubbish.

Very common in my Western country amongst MANY average people, whereas mainly the wealthy know about it in the US

  6. It's SORT OF geographic. There's LOTS of stuff made by CHINESE in the pacific islands and then smuggled to New Zealand from there. Because of the nature and poverty and difficulty in ENFORCING laws in the MANY pacific islands and because their next land is New Zealand, it's more likely for drugs to be smuggled into New Zealand than other countries. Corrupt police on peanuts wages and the clan like structures in the pacific add greatly to the problem.

"they look like cats or even small kangaroos". well I can tell someone has never had much to do with kangaroos. by the time they leave the pouch they are way bigger. and those pigs look nothing like a kangaroo at any point of its life. i got kangaroos eating all the plums off my good plum trees. i had about 2 days before they were gonna be ripe and a kangaroo cleaned the whole lot out in one afternoon. found all the seeds in kangaroo crap on my driveway a few days later. plus i had a koala in a tree on my driveway a year or so back.

  9. Zsewq Wolf actually oddly enough we don't, even though you are right, they are in plague proportions in parts of the country. BUT you can get a permit to shoot them for commercial purposes (they end up in the supermarket freezer). and aboriginals have the right to hunt ANYTHING, including endangered stuff (no joke). what really bought on the roo numbers was areas of the outback and other sparse areas, they started sheep grazing. they made all these watering points for the sheep (pumps, troughs for them to drink from), and the roos started drinking from the same places side by side with the sheep and that's all they needed for their numbers to skyrocket. stupidest story of all, they had too many in an army base, to the point they'd eaten everything and were starting to starve. the hired outside contractors to shoot them (on a damn army base). just enough to make them not starve themselves. and protestors come out and said "we'll take the bullets instead of the kangaroos". regardless of the fact they were starting to die of starvation.

Zsewq Wolf its basically farmers on the edge of the outback that get these permits. to get a gun licence alone is paperwork torture that takes a year, then accuracy testing and more paperwork and even more crap to be able to shoot them. the meat isn't too badly priced in the supermarket, cheaper than beef and sheep but still more expensive than chicken by a fair bit.

Zsewq Wolf believe me, the paperwork is designed to be impossible. i think you may be restricted to hunting them on your land, so get a million or 2 ready to buy a big farm. the laws are screwed though. i hypothetically asked the cops what I'd need for a gun licence. i looked at all the stuff in the handguns section. fingerprint both hands, be in a club and never miss the meetings, references, background checks, safe, heavy door on roof with safe, monitored alarm etc, etc. and some asshole korean university student got himself several handguns LEGALLY, while not being a permanent resident let alone citizen, then went and shot up his classroom. when the cops got him in the interview room, he could barely speak a word of english. he wasn't faking it, others who knew him said he could barely speak it either. yet he can legally get handguns after being here for a very short time on a student visa.

Zsewq Wolf hunting in general requires NO licence here. you do need a firearms licence (to use a firearm, doesn't need to be your own), then you can get an application to buy a gun (i think there's a 30 day wait but once you have that you can buy one gun and take it home RIGHT then). and that gun has to be registered. which i think the shop takes care of. but i can shoot rabbits foxes whatever. except kangaroos, although overpopulated are PROTECTED. THAT is why you need a licence to hunt them. unless you are an aboriginal. they can even hunt endangered things.

  13. Zsewq Wolf there is a hunting season for ducks, but there's no hunting licence for particular animals that you need, or need a new one every season. EVERYTHING that is not on the protected list can be shot, whenever you want, except ducks have a season and sometimes a number limit. fish have a size limit and sometimes a number limit. kangaroos are on the protected list, regardless of the fact there are so many (stupid i know). so you need a licence for them but only because they are on the protected list. this list doesn't apply to aboriginals. they can get anything they feel like, including officially endangered things and protected things.

Zsewq Wolf buggered if I know. it doesn't make sense. we get a lot of "international pressure". like stupid french documentary makers who claim they are endangered and we are killing them. they may be endangered in france but not here. back in the 1980s they weren't on any list and people used to blow away heaps of them, often just for fun.

I read in the paper today that a woman is claiming "domestic violence" in a divorce case coz her "neat freak" husband said she didn't need to work, so long as she 1.) kept up with the ironing 2.) made sure kids toys went back in toybox. in my country, gov stats say 12% of men get punched fornightly or monthly by their spouse. HOWEVER, I do know things are different OUTSIDE the western world.

  40. over here in Oz, marriage makes no difference to a "divorce" settlement. they get the exact same if it was only a defacto relationship that lasted 6 months or more. there are some dumb guys that get married overseas thinking they can get away with everything in a divorce, or don't ever marry, believing the will get away with it all. there is technically a way, but they are too stupid to know how. anyway, i can't hack the political correctness and b/s we have in the west.

  41. GOD DAMN. Life in the city must be shit or something. If she didn't have a life BEFORE twilight, I don't know how she didn't suicide by drowning herself in the bath or some shit. I'm happy with my life. Except I always wish I had more time. I'm out in the country with koalas and echidnas right beside my house, the fact I'm hard enough to sleep on solid concrete, identify heaps of wild edibles, catch rabbits with my bare hands, and live surrounded by natural beauty, not artificial stories.

  42. in the lonely planet guide on opakistan I have it says that you can see APC's and crap in side streets in one area coz of two rival enthic groups that live side by side. apparently they are federal troops and you get your ass kicked bad if you take any photos of the APCs. supposed to just keep on walking. BTW thats a TT33, an old style pretty heavy caliber WW2 era russian handgun ( Tula (russian town it was made) Tokarev (designers last name) 33 (1933 year it come out)).

  43. I had a helicopter with a giant FLIR camera on the front hovering for 5 minutes or probably more over an abandoned garden I had. Water tanks, water pipes, but no visible live plants. It was the drugs chopper that checks out everyone for marijuana growing around here. I was watching 200 yards away under some trees

USA, england, especially in australia (where I am). many men I know have gotten out with only the clothes on their back, $300 in their wallet, and the crap car they drove away in, and shes get the rest. house, bank acc, the lot. 2 guys I worked with have been told she wants a divorce shortly after the house is paid off. I'm not saying nothing bad ever happens. But when girls I know complain there's no guys serious about marriage, I never wonder why any more.
