Over here in Australia we had "party line" phone systems in the 50s and I think you would get a weak ring if it wasn't for you and a strong one if it was. But the other 5 or so families sharing the line could listen in and even talk.

Here in my area of Australia we have the nankeen kestrel. VERY similar to thus except a few more face marks and more brown on it. Like brown wings.

Just funny to think that as cars were special in the Soviet Union my uncle and dad slone had about 20 wrecks and 5 working vehicles and that didn't include my grandfathers cars. And they were just a few hillbillies on a small farm in Australia.

I will just say, in the US what constitutes "seeing combat" and things like the "military veteran injured on active duty" which means he was on a training exercise in west texas and the tank went in a hole, hurting his back for 80% disability pension while he now dig holes and chops firewood with an axe on social media while everyone is kissing his butt with thank you for your (never left the country once) service.... i knew that guy for years and you'd be laughed out of existence in Australia. People tell me average infantry or engineers or whoever here is always in armoured vehicles and sees very little like you've mentioned.

I found when I started my own business I suddenly had twice the strength and could work 12 hours days compared to just being employed.

here in australia they are pretty fussy on parcels. they either put them in the mail box or if you won't fit you have to pick them up within 5 days but SHOW ID. seriously. but then I have had property titles and silver bars sent in the mail. but even if it's just a book, you will need ID and signature to even get the parcel. And ID for any parcels SENT overseas. at times they scan big heaps of incoming foreign mail for drugs and even gun parts and certain knives.

when my uncle died I found what seems to be AN ORIGINAL copy of atlas shrugged. So I read it. Quite interesting. Especially the part where he knew they would not like his light bulb because it had taken them 9 or 10 years to approve the use of candles.

Here in Australia with taxes you can buy tools STRAIGHT UP and it's just a business expense/work expense and you will pay ZERO income tax. It gets a bit harder with vehicles because the only allow "commercial vehicles" which HAS ACTUALLY driven the price of pickups and vans to ridiculous levels.

8:16 I hate stuff that appeals to the male fantasy. Well YOU MIGHT HAVE appealed to the make fantasy YOURSELF if you hadn't joined the feminist fun police and leftism....

I actually LIKE THE FACT you talk about VW problems. I'm SICK TO DEATH of these BMW lovers who PRETEND their BMW has never had a single problem. It makes me sick because BMWs DO HAVE many problems and I hate denial....

We're STILL NOT at a paperless office. When I signed up with a huge corporation a month ago there was plenty to sign and papers to go thru for the induction that are still in the back of my car. NEEEVVEERRR going to be fully "paperless".

Yeah. It STARTS WITH the company giving a crap AND HAVING realistic quotas. Let's see..... i know a place with sky high quotas where guys who are IN THE UNION and have been there over 10 years can AND DO get sacked easily. I'm on the line and I'm looking at the stuff going by that my fellow workmates have done waiting for a gap to push my stuff on and I'm shaking my head at the piss poor quality. But often it gets passed by quality control ANYWAY..... my uncle used to say that people gove a shit about the job and want to help improve things for the first month BUT THEN their ideas and suggestions are ignored and before you know it it's just "so what it's only an XYZ" or "it's just a job". I feel a bit sad for the end user. That's why when I was building intercoolers my accepted quality was ABOVE THE COMPANY SPECS because no truck driver needs a sh!t day or stuck on the roadside because I saved 30 seconds....

I never knew ring filing machines EXISTED. And the multiple cleans and fusiness I would never bother with..... to finally get to the pistons going in and you SQUEEZE THEM IN BY HAND. Holy smoke, I have seen piston ring holders as a 12 year old.... I have never heard of anyone with access to that stuff NOT using it.

10:50 NOOO. There's guys who occasionally put it back wrong and there's guys who just LIE THAT they have never put it back wrong.

Here the guys who hae teeth missing, haven't shaved in a week, and got plenty of tattoos are ACTUALLY THE BEST mechanics in my country. The ones who have clean overalls and a snobbish attitude.... aren't trusted by NORMAL people. Only trusted by arrogant rich people. And what my brother in law was telling me about the service desk guy at the isuzu dealership for his work vehicle..... it was obvious he couldn't tell a ratchet from a spanner.

I find with me it comes down to management who can't manage to get their shoes tied up. And then my once realistic work load goes ridiculous while STILL having to kiss their butt. And owners who can't spend $20 on something badly needed while driving a $100K Mercedes-Benz.

And of course they blamed pootin
