βββ @Ghjgfjjgv You're just being silly now but then I guess I'm silly wasting my time replying.
Of course it's not sunshine and rainbows living with parents. It's still a sacrifice, but obviously one I'm happy to make. Who wouldn't want their own space much sooner? Just a silly question. You've clearly never watched my other videos because I've said countless times how lucky I am, how grateful I am and how much I love my parents. Just because I'm lucky and know it's a privilege to live with them does not mean I absolutely love living here or that I wouldn't rather have my own space earlier in my 20s.
I don't know how many people have the option of living with parents. Some won't have the option. Some will but choose not to take it. Some will live with their parents and still spunk their money. Whichever category you fit into, you have to take responsibility and each category can still represent a chance to save money. If I was renting from 18 years old I would still save a house deposit, however many years it took. It sounds cliche but it absolutely does start with mindset and willingness to sacrifice and do whatever it takes. People don't want to do that . I would either find a cheap place to rent, house share, buy a van, move location....whatever.
Yeah I would expect late teens/early 20s to be mature. I work with an 18 year old who is very mature with his head screwed on and then I work with people well into their 20s who are bone idol and shocking with money.
It's like I said in another video, even if you account for immaturity and bad financial decisions once you hit 30/35 you should still probably have a few grand behind you, even if you only work minimum wage.
I would save many thousands just by not running a car so even though living with parents is the number 1 factored behind the savings, my savings would still be extremely healthy even if I never had the option of living here.

@Ghjgfjjgv No, I have properly answered your questions. You just don't like the answers and this is getting silly so I will reply one final time. I just think you don't like me/have a vendatta, which is absolutely fine but I am taking the time to reply when it would be very easy to just delete the messages.
It's a rather silly question. Living with parents is a sacrifice because I would rather live on my own or with my partner, much sooner than the age of 30. I made the choice to save more money. But you are implying that living with parents is just one big party. I love my parents very much but I would rather have my own space much sooner. It's a sacrifice because not everyone is willing to do it, even if they have the option. My sister for example left years before me as she was desperate to get out, but she made that choice. She still managed to save a deposit though. I said I love my parents, I didn't say I love being here. I am currently living here alone and my partner is in a houseshare, but we are doing it to save money before we buy our next house next month.
I don't EXPECT you to watch videos, I am defending myself though when you accuse me of being ungrateful. I AM VERY GRATEFUL AND OWE SO MUCH TO MY PARENTS. I ACKNOWLEDGE MY GOOD FORTUNE. How obvious can I make it?
But I will repeat myself again, I would still be on the property ladder and would still have healthy savings even if I was kicked out at 18.
Of course there are 18 year olds getting kicked out or being charged full rent, and that sucks BUT lots of people still use that adversity as a form of motivation. Unfortunately, some go down the wrong direction though, yes.
When you say young adults are immature...yes, but some aren't. They still have many years to turn that around anyway, as I already said. You can be 30 years old with fuck all in the bank but still turn your life around and get a few grand saved up.
It's not a competition who can save the most money or who can mature quickest. Regarding having children... if they hold you back at all financially speaking then that comes down to personal accountability. If someone is struggling financially but have children then I do not sympathise. If they have kids from a decent financial footing and then struggle afterwards then I hold some sympathy, but nonetheless when you bring a child into this world you need a lot of money imo, which is precisely why I will never have them
There are plenty of people who are doing everything they can, working hard, saving, making sacrifice but just can't catch a break BUT i do believe most people will get further ahead in life if they adjust their expectations and their attitude.

@Ghjgfjjgv Ok, so it is pretty clear that you are just being a troll so I will reply one last time because admittedly you are annoying me (so good job with that). I will not be responding and these messages will be deleted as soon as you give me your next troll reply.
I have answered your questions, you are just choosing to ignore them. I can't predict how my life would have turned out if i was kicked out at 18, no but you are basically implying that living with my parents is the only reason I have saved money. So, you are choosing to be ignorant. I would have saved thousands still by not running car, by having a food budget, I would do whatever it takes to save money. I would be getting on the property ladder because I would make whatever sacrifices needed, but you just can't see that because you have not looked at any of my videos (that is not a criticiscm). You just make the mistake of thinking 'oh, he lived with parents'. Why don't you actually listen to what I am saying ? If i lost all my money tonight and my parents died, do you think I have the mindset to live in a houseshare, buy a van....live on beans on toast to save money for a deposit? If your answer is no then all I can do is laugh.
You just really are not getting my points. f course it is still a sacrifice to live with parents .I would say more people CHOOSE to leave their parents' than those who get kicked out. They are CHOOSING to live on their own because that is preferable, and it would be preferable to me BUT , I value savings. I am not claiming it is the hardest sacrifice ever but you are just making out like living with parents is one big party when compared to living in your own place.
I have still made huge sacrifices elsewhere in my life, but you will not see that either. I cycle and walk everywhere, which most people are not willing to do. I also mostly enjoy those things but it is not always fun cycling in the rain or after a late shift or into head wind.
You say you agree with some of my video but I see nothing but negativity. I have seen zero evidence of anything that you agree with.
Living with your parents at age 30 is probably more common now, but that is besides the point, I know it isn't exactly 'normal' but as I said, some people make the decision to leave out because they want their own space, which is understandable but I was willing to sacrifice that extra independence by saving more money. Stop making out that every 21 year old is booted out.
I made my choices with strategy. I have had a job I tolerate for 12 years and I have built my life around that. I am nothing special, have had many problems with depression over the years and this is my own way of making something of myself without being a high flyer.
People paying half their salary on rent need to be doing everything they can to seek a higher paying job, save more money, or relocate, get house share, buy a van....do WHATEVER IT TAKES. My story does not change the fact that a lot of people do not help themselves. This is why i call out people on these cost of living rants I see, because some people just make foolish decisions.
I don't think you realise how close I am to my parents and how much I love them so I will just let you believe I am ungrateful lol.
Just because I love them does not mean I have to LOVE living here. I am comfortable but AGAIN, most people would want their own space, as have already mentioned.
Anyway, all the best to you going forward but I don't have time for people who disrespect me, which is what you are doing. Telling me I am ungrateful and being very ignorant regarding things i have done to save money. The thing is they aren't huge sacrifices to me, because it is all worth it but that is because I have built the mindset. That is the mindset I am trying to share with others.....and most people appreciate the message.
The things I have done to save money aren't things others would be willing to do, or at least not most people, and that is fine....but this is my story, that is why people watch my videos.
Life is shit, what are we going to do about it?
