Yes, it also crossed my mind that this downing of the plane could have been done by for example French mercenaries. I combine it with the fact that France didn't want to have the emergency meeting of the Security Council and postponed it. If not then I opt for the theory of the huge mistake that is made by trigger happy Ukrainians (regular army or a rogue militia) assuming it was a plane carrying weapons instead of the Ukrainian POWs. Though apparently no communication was done about it, which would point only to a rogue anarchic militia, not regular army. And why would a solitary civilian plane (not train or trucks) carrying missiles move to only 70 km from the Ukrainian border, that would be odd as I think.
