I saw on an Indian YT channel that the EU will make import of products from India hard per Oct 1st 2023, of which the EU finds too much carbon is emitted in production, like steel, oil products (but they can expand and apply it on basically all produced goods with the carbon lie as I think) and the products will get a 'carbon tax' on them for India to pay. I see this as a type of sanction and means of control outside the jurisdiction of the EU, discriminatory for now, because I don't think that the EU has implemented it in the own territories yet and I wonder if the industry in the USA and the UK, Australia etc will get carbon taxed per Oct 1st this year, thinking of the hypocrite western mentality. I (in the EU) didn't see it in the news as it being an established fact. Maybe it holds connection with the fact that India is not anti Russia in trade.
