The USA Air Force Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint air command aircraft (JAKE17) did a grand tour today over Europe, did countrywide circles along the more northern Russian border, over Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It's now on its way back to Mildenhall airbase in the UK. "Its sensor suite allows the mission crew to detect, identify and geolocate signals throughout the electromagnetic spectrum.[29] The mission crew can then forward gathered information in a variety of formats to a wide range of consumers via Rivet Joint's extensive communications suite. The crew consists of the cockpit crew, electronic warfare officers, intelligence operators, and airborne systems maintenance personnel. On Sept 26 it went from Mildenhall airbase over Norway then eastwards north from Finland towards the Russian Federation (edit: over the Arctic waters north from Finland near Russia (Kachalovka, Russian Federation). and back to base in a 12 hour flight. And an Italian Air Force Lockheed C-130J Hercules (military transport) flew today from Pisa, Italy to Siauliai airport in Latvia and back.
