She was a memory of Weimar Germany.

Herr Schicklgruber...😔

@wolfpack4694 He's a communist. He troll the military history videos attacking those who fought for freedom.

I remember the bad old days of 1979. Post Vietnam malaise and the horrible lack of confidence Americans had in themselves and their military. Thank God for Ronald Reagan!
3
Don't be surprised if that happens.

It WAS DIFFICULT! Argies sunk Royal Navy ships with Excocet missiles! And they put up a fight on the islands initially. I was 13 at the time and followed that war very closely.
2
Suspicious Ned He's a nasty communist troll. Keep an eye on him.

I knew the GG of Grenada requested the invasion. Our PM the late great Edward Seaga made it known. Which is why Jamaica Defense Force supported the invasion.

A proper old socialist. If it were up to people like you, everybody in the Caribbean would be looking for pigeons dogs and cats to eat. The US didnt intervene when Maurice Bishop took over, how easy you forget that. Mark Felton was indeed wrong about Bishop getting unpopular, he was even more popular when the Coard/Austin junta took over. But after he was murdered something had to be done! DOWN WITH COMMUNISM!

@RW4X4X3006 Those were fun times weren't they! The Reagan buildup was bringing in new weapons systems, we were breakdancing, hitting the video game arcades, checking out girls, playing sports, having fun!

Very well done, Mark! Thanks.

I wished that the British had somehow captured him.

It wasn't a disgrace to Americans and Caribbean peoples who loved democracy and freedom. Politically, it helped Reagan get reelected after the Beirut debacle. And it boosted the confidence of freedom loving peoples in the West that communism can be stopped.

The US should have slogged it out like UK Forces in Falkland Islands eh?
1
@WALTERBROADDUS Word! And behind the scenes the US sent Britain ammo and missiles to restock what was expended.

Those construction workers were veterans of Angola and Ethiopia and Namibia. They inflicted damage on the Americans. Not a easy cake walk.

yep!

Your Tiger had to be abandoned. It was put out of action by its own Commander and driver when it backed up into rubble, just minutes after knocking out the Pershing. Frigging Tiger cant free itself from rubble lol. The Pershing was at least repaired and put back into action.

@williamoldaker5348 No seeking balance here. Communists and Nazis don't deserve 'balance' because they dont care for balance.

No contest
1
Grenada was just a part of the global fight back against communism.
1
Waaah! How dare they!
1
Communists should get their teeth kicked in. And that is what happened in Grenada.

Barbados was a main staging area for the invasion. My big brother was on the island and saw the massive buildup of US troops and materiel there. My country, Jamaica also provided manpower and support to US Forces. Respect to those Caribbean and US troops who took part in Operation: Urgent Fury.
1
You're much more goofy than Reagan.
1
I remember that time and I was very pissed to see them. And it wasnt me alone, a lot of people were complaining about these 'German' helmets.
