@mrbigberd Northrop Grumman had just too many negative issues with the Pentagon bugging them for the USAF to select the YF-23. Also the YF-22 performed unexpected air combat capabilities during the fly off which further complicated matters for the YF-23. However the YF-23 would have made a awesome interceptor and tactical high speed reconnaissance aircraft, ironically a F-23A would suit future air combat doctrine over the current F-22A, while maintaining its maneuverability which was quite good. I would have selected both aircraft if it were up to me.

Absolutely loved this transport! It is such a lovely aircraft, I remember seeing one back in the 80's and wondered at its size and sleek lines. The Starlifter not only had looks but was really a hauler, it was very capable and did a whole lot of work.

The FW-190 was a mean fighter. It was fast, packed a punch, and was durable enough to absorb punishment. The 190 took a fearsome toll on USAAF bombers over Europe with its cannons inflicting serious damage.

I really like the SU-57, I think it will be a quite capable fighter, once it irons out its many issues.

They made sure to get their revenge on JFK before that though. They had a lot of help doing that.

The USAF should consider a non stealth very long range high altitude super heavy bomber with MOAB and deep penetration bomb carrying capabilities to replace the B-52. Styling wise it would derive from the XB-46 but much larger and longer for massive bomb loads, swept wings, twin tail booms, and sharper nose for the radar dome, it would be made from both lightweight high strength steel and tough super durable composite materials, the engine configuration would be dictated by the aircraft designers. It should have active 360 degree missile defense system that will intercept incoming SAMs and AAMs, the defense system would also include air to air missiles engage enemy interceptors. Of course any strike package with this proposed super heavy bomber would be accompanied with escort fighters to enhance mission survivability.

If I remember correctly, there was a major VC sapper attack back in 1964 against Bien Hoa, which damaged and destroyed a bunch of aircraft. The narrator may have mixed up the Tet attack which happened in 1968 with that one?

I have never been a fan of the old P-80 Shooting Star. Why? Richard Ira Bong that's why. May he rest in peace.

They had still had massive support from Russia China and Warsaw Pact countries. Soviet SIGINT monitored US communications, North Vietnamese and VC spies thoroughly infiltrated US military and civilian interests in Saigon and elsewhere.

@terrenceescarda8951 He didn't support their operation at The Bay of Pigs and didn't invade Cuba after that fiasco. They advised him to send in ground troops into South Vietnam between 1962 and 1963, he rightfully refused and increased US military advisors instead as he didn't want to escalate the current situation there which would impact his big domestic agenda for the upcoming 1964 elections. They decided to get rid of him.

Where did you get that from? The communists? The Tet offensive was a disaster from the Viet Cong and the PAVN took heavy casualties. What happened was people were shocked that the VC pulled this off and it made for bad optic, thanks to US news media which made reporting on the TET offensive a veritable propaganda piece for the North Vietnamese. US public support went downhill from there.
