@itsmeydna This. ES has done this for 30 years.

Then you'd waste your money. It's designed for regular.
5
@tundrav8georgia Honestly, yeah, excitement isn't what you'd get an ES for. Although the V6 version has more highway scoot than you might think.
5
Nope. FWD. Only the 250 is AWD, and it's a non-hybrid.
5
In fact, it is a lot. Even more than the larger LS 500.
3
@feodor6445 What about it? Do you often compare cars to other cars that are double the price? That said, the LS's reliability is not as good as the simpler, more proven ES.
3
@MrMustangrick The ES 300h is FWD only, including in the US.

@malav_patel Depends on what you want. If you want the performance you expect from a luxury car, or even from the V6 ES350, no. If you just want it to be adequate for ordinary use and reassured you can pass and merge without getting killed, you'll be fine. It's 8.1 seconds to 60, which is decidedly mediocre, but owners report that its prompt throttle response makes it feel less bad than that number implies. As always, test drive before you buy.

No and no. Avalon's top models had both. No ES has either one. You'd probably prefer a certified Avalon, and they're a terrific value too.

@ahmadmohamad6384 Okay, you don't accept it. If you really are avoiding the ES only for this reason, you should seek out a very similar late-model used Avalon Limited; its rear seat folds down.

@markl6122 Apparently because Amazon is killing off Alexa support for cars.

@kissmylipsb Mid or upper $40's.

@leangroundbeef2322 Most say the IS is much smaller inside, quiet and smooth-riding but less so, handles much better although it's certainly no sports car.

My, what a clever and original comment this is. And the imaginative use of those unique emojis sparkles with even more creativity.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I think its rival the Genesis G80 is much more attractive than the ES on the inside EXCEPT for the G80's weird ugly steering wheel.
1
If your Impala is reliable, sit tight with it. And I say that as an ES owner.
1
@blueangel1972 Right. They have heat, recline, and rear controls in some countries, just not in the States.
1
Bespoke. Shares nearly nothing with the ES except some interior bits the ES borrowed in order to add some prestige.
1
@anondjfizzle Thanks! I didn't know that.

Like ES 350 owners.

Sadly, the GS didn't sell. I think Americans simply wouldn't buy a luxury performance sedan without a German badge.
