If you follow his advice to get a Hyundai/Kia product used at 5-10 years of age, be aware that the 10 year-100,000-mile warranty is only for the first owner. Once sold, the warranty for the second owner gets shorter. If you're going this route, do your homework and see if the car is still covered.

@thomasshort6738 The B58 is BMW's popular and sweet-performing inline Six engine, found in a lot of larger sedans and X5 SUVs among other models. its reliability is said to be improved in recent years. I know this only because B58 worship is a running joke on YouTube's excellent Savagegeese car review channel.
