  9. For 30 years, Lexus has replaced the Camry/Avalon's drop-down rear seats with an extra structural brace behind the seat back that only leaves room for a ski pass-through. Evidently they believe that luxury customers value the extra rigidity and quietness/tightness more than the cargo-carrying versatility valued in a family sedan. Whether right or wrong, at least they've been consistent.
