GTI’s are super nice. More refined and much quicker.

I hate that it got stripped. Honda screwed over US buyers.

Nice car but I wish it had a 2.0. The 1.5 is too slow.

It’s ok. It’s only 200 hp, so it’s not gonna win any races on highway. It’s a fun commuter car that’s great on fuel.

@stms4411 Many of us would pay the extra if it was an option. They would sell many more cars. With a 1.5 only, it keeps most of us away. It’s just not a fun engine power wise. In todays standards, it’s lackluster. The trans is excellent though. Handling is also great for its price point. I drove two of them and love the cars, especially for the price, but can’t get past the slow performance of the small 1.5, but I do like the car. I will wait to see what the Type R brings. If I can get one at MSRP, I may grab one. I tried to get a Type R years ago, but everyone wanted 60k plus. Way too much for that car. So for 60k I picked up an RS3 and that car has been amazing for almost five years. I’m trying to keep the miles off of it, so I want to pick up another car and pack the miles on that.

@stms4411 The RS3 is amazing. The DSG is ultra fast and makes it a blast to go fast. Engine is spectacular! Easy 10 second car with bolt ons. It’s a future classic and that’s why I won’t sell it and want to keep the miles off. It’s the only car I never want to sell and I’ve had over 100 cars in my life. It’s a special car. I’ll see if I can get a Type R. Yes I love the new body style a lot better than older boy racer look. I just never pay over sticker as I know a lot of dealers. I just don’t have many Honda connections. If it was a Porsche, Audi, BMW, I would have many connections on pricing. Even Acura I have connections.

Michelins.

Why would you want to pull it while driving? It creates flat spots on tires, then you get wobbling down highway because of flat spots.
2
@RCXDerp Well most people are not that bright to only use it in gravel or snow. Good to see you have common sense. Most people are not like us. I remember people always complaining that their car has a vibration at high speeds. I drive their car and laugh. I tell them, this car must do awesome power drifts and then they smile and say yes it does. I smile at them and say that’s the problem and glad you admit it. You have flat spots on the tires. Then they blame the company for putting crap tires on. I just shake my head.

@darrenmathias9384 Well they do it for cost savings. A manual handbrake cost more and it’s also more parts to install. Electronic is super easy with less parts and calibration is all software baked into ECU. Manual brakes need to be calibrated at factory and it’s more time and manpower on assemble line.

@thomasmacgruber6701 Same thing.

@stms4411 The car market is about to tumble. Big time. This is the last hooray before the price dumps.
