  1. Great car, but it's getting too expensive for what they are. It's better spending the extra money for the "R" edition instead.The warranty also stinks for only 36K miles. If they want to charge the premium for this car then they need to give a premium warranty. These cars are great, but they will have issues. VW's have never been 100% reliable.GTI's are also made in Mexico for the US market and the Golf R is made in Germany.
