They make money. It’s a tool.

Ford has 1050, but 975 is great.

@username8644 Sine don’t want the stiffness of 3500. It’s super bouncy.

They can’t reduce. They just gave everyone raises. So it takes 1000’s of people to make all the parts in these and everyone needs to get paid more for inflation in order to live. Remember that fuel prices have shit up so it costs more to operate everything. Plus the thousands of other things the corporations have to pay triple for now too. Plus higher taxes too. Higher insurance due to tons of thefts and vandalism in America, heat bills have tripled, delivery has tripled, paint has tripled, engine parts doubled, chips have quadrupled, etc. Be happy it’s still under a 20 percent hike. Manufacturing still makes less than they did years prior.

GM plans to moving to Mexico to start manufacturing cheap with much lower costs so they can start making a higher profit. Many companies are now moving to Mexico to get away from Americas high inflation costs. Honda and Toyota are going there too.

They have always made the next years model starting in September. Most things made after September are made for following year. It’s always been like this. For At least 30 years.

No more Hemis though. Dodge is staying with Diesel and gas engines will be a straight 6 turbo, which should be amazing and hopefully better longevity. Hemis had issues.

Hemis do not have 975 pounds of torque. Major difference in pulling. Hemi, you still feel the trailer. Duramax diesel, you don’t feel the trailer. It just glides.

@mattwilcox8134 It’s actually more than 5 percent these days. Plus add in thousands of other costs that doubled. Plus no more tax breaks. Plus when they borrow money, it’s no longer free. Now they have to pay 7.9 percent. So investors make them raise the prices. This is how corporations run. I know first hand as I operate one. Operating costs have doubled and some have tripled. This is why GM is moving to Mexico. To cut back costs. Build cheaper.

They’ve been buying these for 22 years.

@jeep6242 buying a truck for your company is not a trend. I take it you can’t afford one.

American workers get paid more for every part made. Each vehicle has thousands of workers making them. So they added 20k to equate for the price hikes. Plus all other overhead that doubled. Inflation is here to stay. It’s the new normal. So under 20 percent hike is not that bad considering.
