They must know the same un-revised parts are being used. Toyota probably told them to go easy.

The 22/23 just got recalled. So much for Toyota quality.
22
This is a great ad for Honda.
12
Too bad GM can shut that truck down immediately by signal. GM is government motors.
9
They know it’s gonna break again. I’m sure Toyota told them to go easy.
9
After looking at both, I hated the 4 cylinder and hate the plastic interior in the GMC. The gmc looks the best on the outside, but the interior and engine made me never want it. The 4 cylinder sound gave me high anxiety. The Raptor has an awesome engine. The interior is very premium and comfortable. They give you a lot more for your money. In comparison, you can tell GM cut costs big time.
8
The little blue truck that almost could.
8
It’s extremely capable. We took my friends out and were very impressed. Great traction. It’s AWD is great!
4
No way.

As a daily driver and more livable day to day, the passport wins. I’ve driven both. Toyota missed the mark. 4 cylinder is loud, getting in and out of back seats is tough because of wheel arch halfway in doors, so you have to bend a certain way to get in and out. Cheap plastics. No flat load floor. Small back seat room. Empty buttons everywhere unless you get a TRD Pro. It does look amazing though, except interior. Passport looks amazing, especially in orange and green. Premium quality interior and well thought out. Has tons of room and is super comfortable. Has a flat load floor that is huge in back. Back seat room is massive. Great sounding engine, even though it could use more power, handles amazing for a big vehicle. It steers like it’s a lot smaller. Back roads are fun with it. Super comfortable ride with it being unibody. For a daily, I prefer AWD. 4 wheel is only good for short trips at low speeds. So AWD wins in bad weather. Hands down. 4 wheel is better for rock crawling. So happy we have great options now.
3
It’s a sport Baja truck. Not a luxury truck. Get a luxury truck for cooled seats.
3
The transfer case blew.
3
Toyota engineers told them to go easy. Newly revised parts will be available in November.
3
I want to buy one, but with war going on, fuel price will be $10.
2
We took my buddies off road yesterday. We were extremely impressed. In comfort too. Honda nailed this one perfectly!
2
Not many will buy them. Full frames drive rough. They are a cheap way to manufacture and are worst in accidents. They rust out. This is why cars are no longer body on frames. Jeeps are not selling. They are piled up on lots for 10k off.
2
It’s all about the driver.
2
Raptor. It’s a no brainer.
2
He’s scared it’s gonna break.
2
@lucasblanchard47 we did watch it. He looked very scared that it would break again. He had zero confidence. Toyota probably told them to not beat on it again. Even through it broke on the simplest coarse. Two others online have broken their front diff too. So I assume Toyota will have another recall added to their long list of recalls. Not sure why some of you get so upset when a Toyota breaks. It’s like you want to hide it so nobody knows. Word is the newly revised dif will be available in November.
2
@lucasblanchard47 Andre said future video. They want to make sure it doesn’t break again. Two other units have broken now. So it’s a defective part. Toyota hates when YouTubers make them look bad. So I’m sure they will tell them to not do it and take it easy on truck till newly revised part is an available.
2
Too many short comings with 4Runner. You pay too much to have that Toyota badge. Huge waste if you don’t go off road and rock crawling.
2
❌Cheap cloth ❌Cheap plastics ❌Loud and clacky 4 cylinder ❌Small back seats ❌Hard to get in and out of rear back seats with rear wheel arch halfway in door ❌Frames rust ❌No flat floor
2
This is a good price for what you get. Especially in today’s high inflation. It’s the tacoma that is overpriced.
2
@blueridge8992 The turbos are not the problems. It’s the direct injection is what carbons up the engines. Port injection is what keeps the engines cleaner. 0 weight oil is also not a problem as it flows so much faster, especially when it’s cold out. Toyota has tested these engines with millions of miles before they put them into production. Toyota made sure it was perfect before making it the main drivetrain for their best selling trucks.
2
Never see vehicles breaking axles often. Toyota is cutting cost on quality parts.
2
They were very basic too back then. Trucks back then fell apart fast. This truck is far from basic and is built tough. People with high paying salaries is why these trucks exist. We work extremely hard and play harder in our spare time. Making money is very easy to do these days. Back in the day was hard, so things were built cheap to sell cheap.
2
That won’t matter. Stickier tires will make things break faster.
2
I would be so nervous now
2
They sell lifts. Honda will install.
2
They keep them eye level with driving. Drive a Range Rover with looking down and right, and you will understand.
2
They are very capable. After taking my buddies out yesterday, I’m now a believer in it. Honda did great.
2
My buddy just got rid of his 23 Pro 4Runner for an orange TS elite. He loves it. It’s more comfortable, handles 100 times better, braking is night and day with no more nose dive, he can drive fast around corners now. It’s got a lot more room. It’s faster and sounds much better. AWD is better for bad weather on highways and long trips. We took it off road to his normal trails and it was amazing. We were both blown away. Traction is amazing. Honda definitely did a lot of work on AWD system. It just feels 20 years newer than 4Runner. He’s so happy with it and his decision. His wife loves it so much more. Only complaint is shifter. Wish it was a lever. He’s putting in a 3 inch lift. He’s just worried about losing 2 to 3 mpg to lift it.
2
Unibody is much better and safer for daily driving. Body on frames is cheap construction. Yet they charge a premium. They also ride a lot stiffer. 99 percent of these buyers don’t want that. They want comfort driving down dirt trails and bad roads. You can pay extra for a 4 runner with a 4 cylinder.
2
Most likely a design flaw. I’m sure a newly revised part will be available in 6 months.
2
You can get a 3 inch lift. Honda will install it. You will lose 3 mpg though.
2
Things built in America are weak.
2
You clearly have never driven either. Passport is amazing. Subaru is a pride owners safe space now.
1
Not gonna happen with inflation past 4 years. Inflation ruined things for good. Also enthusiast version wouldn’t be basic. It would have more power and have more options for off road.
1
Manual windows and locks cost more to manufacture and install. They also break easy. It still cost money to make vinyl and manual options. Just as much as premium items. So you won’t save much. Maybe 2000. Use logic.
1
You have no clue. Someday you will learn about vehicles.
1
@TacoMonster4eva crashed it. Tires failed.
1
@grisa12345 You are wrong. Jeeps are piled up. 4Runners are on lots sitting.
1
Toyota has a reputation to hold. They don’t want this going public as much as it did. They are working on a new revised part for fall.
1
@dos0711 3rd gens just got recalled.
1
@fredmagic09 Because Toyota owners hide everything that breaks.
1
@fredmagic09 I’ve been in the industry for 36 years. This happens all the time. They still can’t make it a recall, because only three have broken so far. The manufacturer knows the issues and will be revised quickly.
1
@The_Opinion_of_Matt It’s just tuning. A JB4 plug and play will boost more power.
1
If you know it’s gonna break again, just keep in in two wheel drive.
1
Just wait till more parts break.
