Materials used also cost a lot more vs. a 2006. Also a lot more materials are used. Airbags, safety equipment, rigidity, suspension, metal used is far better quality, rust proofing, insulation, plus a much more robust car.

There are lots of cars not being built these days because of cost to build them. People would complain about prove. Supra was one of them. To build it with a Toyota spec performance engine and all R&D, it would have been over 100k. So Toyota partnered with BMW to build it for half the cost. Another reason why we won’t see many performers cars from here on out. Electric is only thing they will spend money on. This is Acuras last performance budget gas car.

@chones_ Don’t blame the dealers. Blame the people for paying huge mark ups. The “S” in msrp, stands for suggested. MSRP is not written in stone. Dealers know a massive recession is coming and they are trying to make as much as they can. Some of these companies won’t even make it through this recession that’s gonna hit soon. If you can wait, wait! Hopefully they will still build them.

@hellgateiscloseddontgother8736 A 400Z or Z06? How can kids and people fit in back seats? If a person wants a Z06 or Z, they would not be cross shopping with an 4 cylinder Acura. People mostly buy this Type S because it’s a sedan with room that holds 4 people. It has a purpose.
