Understeer is almost non existent. Audi has tweaked the rear end to send more power to make the car more neutral. Reducing weigh in the front with the new engine helps a lot too. This car will kick its rear end out now unlike before.

Not anymore. It actually kicks sideways easy. See this review. http://driving.ca/audi/s3/reviews/road-test/first-drive-2018-audi-rs3

bongmistt what understeer. It actually oversteers now. It will kick sideways easily too. Audi has tweaked the suspension and haldex to make it playful. Stage 2 tune is already making 500 hp and 600 torque with an insane torque rush spike. Read this. http://driving.ca/audi/s3/reviews/road-test/first-drive-2018-audi-rs3

Strengthoftenmen it won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Audi has tweaked this car and the haldex. People are just assuming because of the prior one.

Strengthoftenmen I know all about rear wheel drive cars. I use to build high hp rear drive cars and had them for 20 years. It's extremely fun. One thing I love about all wheel drive cars is launching and the ability to drive fast in terrible conditions. I couldn't do that in a Vette or a modded M3. This car is an all weather car that has lots of appeal. The sound, exterior, interior, engine, exhaust, performance is what makes it a perfect road car no matter what the conditions are. Audi dropped quite a bit of weight compared to the older model. Everyone knows if you want a track car then rwd is the best choice. I'm just tired of seeing people's comments comparing this to an M2. The RS3 will be a better car all around maybe the exception of track. My bmw dealer is trying to get me to buy an M2 for a good price. I happen to work on them and I'm not a fan personally. I do love the new M3 though. If I was to get a 2 door for the track it would definitely be a Porsche. That is the best track car period. I was a big Bmw fan until I drove Porsche. I do have a Golf R which I think is a fantastic road car. Modded makes some great power and can play in all weather. VW did a great job. I wish VW could put the 5 cylinder in it, buts it's now an RS exclusive engine. I want the RS3 cause it's a better package with an engine that is amazing. Audi did a lot of work tweaking everything to make it faster and better handling than the previous model. I can't wait to get mine in Nardo gray. The value will hold strong on these cars like all other Audi RS cars.

Usmaan Zabair actually this new design RS3 will be pretty good around the track. The rear end will kick sideways to make it much more fun on the track. There is a review on it and he states the rear comes out easy while making the car extremely fun and track worthy. He said it is drift happy. They have a dyno run on a TTRS 5 cylinder which is same engine with a stage 2 tune with an easy 500 hp and 600 torque. The problem is the insane torque spike at low rpm. It should easily drift sideways forever. That torque shove will send it into a tail spin for sure. It will easily be a 10 second 1/4 mile car too. The fact that this engine is hand built alongside the V-10 engines makes it a win.
