Not fast at all. Good handling though.

Daily driving it’s not bad at all. Sounds like a regular shifting car. Honda does it for a very good reason. Electric cars and CVT transmission cars with drone, can mess with people’s equilibrium causing dizziness and sickness. It’s more common now with electric and CVT droning cars. Honda fake shift can help balance out the drone of a CVT of silentness of an electric. It just sounds bad here because he’s full out on throttle and it’s mic’d for video. Daily driving is pleasant and best hybrid out there for balance and naturalness. Drive them all and you’ll understand what I mean. Honda is a drivers car and they pride themselves on balance. Having a balanced equilibrium is very important.

It’s the second fastest civic.

Hybrid is better. Plus it has no actual transmission. It’s also faster than non hybrid. It’s also faster than SI. Civic hybrid is the second fastest civic made with Type R being the fastest.

@armoredp Wrong! It is all fake shifts. There is no actual transmission and no CVT. It’s two motors behind the engine. One is a generator and one is a drive motor. Honda added the shifts in for people who hate the constant whine of one gear. It’s just extremely annoying here on the track because he’s pinned the whole time. If you deleted the speaker, there is no shifts at all. It’s all artificial. Fake shifts help people with equilibrium issues caused by one gear whine of CVT and electric cars. Daily driving a Honda hybrid is closest to a natural shifting car, but it’s all fake.

@armoredp It is fake shifts and noise is a speaker. Honda did it to balance out the persons equilibrium. The hybrid has no transmission at all and there is no CVT transmission in it. Honda improved it in 2025.
