  1. Christian Nguyen Let’s be honest here. Toyota doesn’t have the quality trim level like BMW. Toyota is going after the German Tuning market that actually have money to spend. Sales are already excellent and they will make money and gain a whole new crowd of buyers they would have never gotten. They could have built it like the GTR and NSX, but didn’t want a car that was 125k Plus. They wanted a high build quality that was solid feeling for a decent price. Look at the GTR sales. Down ultra low. NSX sales down ultra low. BMW guys spend money and are into tuning. Great metal, great fit and finish, great sound, etc. The Japanese import market is different. They have a huge following, but most don’t have money to spend on a new car over 60k. They want movie cars that are 20k. I have a paint correction shop that does all cars. My German customers are a huge part of my business. 60 percent minimum German cars. 25 percent exotics, 15 percent American cars. My Japanese import market customers are 0%. I give them out prices and they complain too high or they have to save up. Japanese market don’t spend money. They love EBay parts at a bargain. Glad Toyota smartened up and teamed up with BMW. The Tuning potentials on this car is amazing. It’s only the beginning. Negativity is only increasing the desire for this car. The diehard German car guys are buying these , Tuning them and laughing hard at the naysayers.
