  1. I do Autobody and Subaru have the worst paint and very thin metal construction. VW have an awesome construction and thick metal with great paint. It's right up there with Porsche and Audi in quality. We do ding and dent removal too and Subaru is a money maker for us. Audi/VW/Porsche are tough to take apart due to the overbuilt construction.

  2. +Frank White I actually work on both these cars for a living and Subarus are built on the cheaper side. They are a very good for the money, but are lacking big time in fit and finish. I'm sure they will update soon. If you are saying the Golf R is cheap feeling then I call BS. You have never sat in one or driven one. I work on a lot of Porsches and Audis and the fit and finish it very close to them. They are all part of the same family. The Golf R is a hatchback version of the S3. With that said, the Sti has a lot to catch up to when it comes to fit and finish. If that's tour style then that's fine. I never liked VW, but I will give credit due where it's due. The platform, engine, DSG, fit and finish are great. I'm impressed with the quality of materials for only being a 40k car. It may not be the most appealing car looks wise outside, but It's a real sleeper. The R also has all forged internals. You maybe confusing the R with a Gti. If so than I am not a fan of that plaid

  3. +Fraser Wall what do you mean all new cars are ass. I don't know what cars you are looking at, but I am seeing total opposite. All the German cars these days have great fit and finish.

  4. Vw won't die and they have a lot of money. Porsche and Audi are also making them a lot of money.
