  2.  @hammad4178 Honda ruined the SI by putting in the crappy 1.5. They should have put in a detuned 2.0 turbo and sold aftermarket parts through themselves. Thats where Honda messed up. SI is a very weak car. Bad engine. Weak clutch, and slow.

  3. It’s mainly traffic. Those of us who sit in traffic daily, don’t want a daily manual. We save those for weekend cars. Hondas are not a weekend car. They are a daily driver. If they made a 400hp manual prelude, then they would be fun.

  4. They sell the SI and R. SI is so slow. R is 10-20k over msrp. Porsche makes the best manual cars.

  6. ⁠ @worldofz00 most people these days, especially younger generations want self driving cars that have TikTok built in. They want to be driven while on TikTok. Civic Hybrid was made for enthusiasts who commute a long drive in traffic and need great mpg, at an affordable cost, that’s still fun to drive. They don’t want a boring Prius or Camry. I didnt get it till I drove one. Now I get the hybrid hype. I’m glad Honda made this for people who enjoy driving and still get easy traffic and great mpg. Only thing missing is a manual, but most don’t want that in stop and go. Then on weekends, get a fun manual car. They do have SI which is slower and a crappy engine with a weak clutch. Fun to drive though, if you don’t mind it being weak. Type R is great, but I wouldn’t want to sit in traffic everyday, and it’s a collectors car, so racking up mileage on it will hurt its value. Plus they are marked up to 60k plus. Hard pass! Cars are selling less as most want SUV’s and crossovers. This is a step in the right direction for Honda to keep people in cars. They can make profit and put them into performance cars next.
