Christ is not the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a space of time. Christ is God, not a space of time. Chris said He is Lord of the Sabbath.

@frederickpile3599 Heb. 4: shows Paul saying that anyone who truly enters God's rest will observe the Sabbath like He did in Gen. 2:1-3. Try as anti-Sabbatarians might to rationalize it away, they are still stealing time that rightfully belongs to God. It is not your time, nor is it your employer's time. God says every second from Fri. sunset to Sat. sunset belongs to Him .

@javierdelgado1554 Anyone who claims that Jesus didn't observe the Sabbath is by default claiming He is false messiah. Hebrews says He never sinned, and Luk. 4:16 plainly says it was His custom to observe the Sabbath. The same is said about Paul in Acts 17:2. As if it wasn't bad enough that you're preaching a counterfeit Christ, you're preaching a counterfeit Paul as well.

The only danger is in your false theology. How can anyone seriously argue that the Sabbath is not a requirement when it's enshrined in the very law of God as a moral absolute? It literally makes 0 sense to contend that God will trust someone with eternal life when they refuse to follow His commands and do something as simple as keep the Sabbath in the condition that He created it in.

If ppl would just look at the first few verses of Acts 15 instead of misquoting it, they actually see what the issue was: Pharisaical converts were demanding ppl to be physically circumcised to be considered saved . The issue was clearly NOT about the dietary law or Sabbath keeping, as Acts 15:21 clearly states that the Gentiles were instructed FROM THE LAW EVERY SABBATH.

@J.L.L-jp7ch Christ stated in Mar. 2 that the Sabbath was created for ALL of mankind. The Sabbath was created in Gen. 2:1-3, before there was ever a such thing as an Israelite or Gentile. Isa. 56 plainly shows God saying that Gentiles are not supposed to think that the Sabbath doesn't apply to them. The thing that makes God just and fair is that His laws apply to every human being.

@June@97 It doesn't matter what man's law says. Man cannot dictate what is or isn't sin. The law of God does that. God says keep the Sabbath holy, therefore it is to be kept holy. The only choice anyone really has is whether they will comply with God's order or not. You have to ask yourself if it's more profitable to be on God's side or the world's side.

@javierdelgado1554 This is a dishonest argument, which doesn't shock me since your argument comes from a dishonest premise. I'm not SDA, but even i know that they don't claim that the Sabbath is the only day that someone is supposed to worship God on. The Bible says that the Sabbath is supposed to be entirely dedicated to rest, worship, and receiving spiritual instruction.

@javierdelgado1554 The Sabbath was not created to point ppl to the person of Christ. It points backward to the God who created everything, and it points forward to the Millennium. The entire weekly cycle is a type of God's plan. The first 6000 years were allotted to man to rule himself apart from God, and the last 1000 years were set apart for God to enforce His rule on man.

Galatians and Romans say no such thing. In fact, Rom 3:31 shows Pauls saying that all of the apostles were upholding the authority of the Decalogue. In fact, Paul also mentions in Romans that this same Decalogue defines what is sin. Col. 2:17 also shows Paul saying the Sabbaths "_are_ a shadow of things to come". The clear implication is that they all have a present and future importance.

That passage doesn't mean what you think it means. Paul was telling the Colossians not to allow outsiders to judge them for how they observed the Lev. 23 festivals. The Colossians were not confused as to whether they were mandatory or not. The issue is that they were surrounded by heathens who looked down on them for practicing God's religion.

Christ was not resurrected on Sunday. The Bible conclusively teaches a Wednesday afternoon death and a Saturday afternoon resurrection. The women went to the tomb while it was still dark Sunday morning according to John, and the angels told the women that He was already gone. The Sunday resurrection fable is a Catholic invention.

Phrases like this is a great example of why Paul said Satan and his agents present themselves as ministers of righteousness. There is a reason why ppl who spout such nonsense never quote a passage where it actually teaches that. It is an empty, satanic ploy that is mean tot confuse ppl about what the Sabbath is and keep them in the dark about its purpose. And sadly, it actually works.

Sunday-keepers are like the rest of the world: they want to be thought of as good without actually doing what God says is good. They hate the Sabbath in part because the Catholic church's hatred for the Jews led it to convince the world that the Sabbath was a "Mosaic" or "Jewish" tradition, and the Protestant world followed Martin Luther's footsteps in perptuating that falsehood.
