  1. There was more to the situation than what they did or didn't offer. A lot of readers tend to overlook the attitude in which they presented their offerings. The narrative places more of an emphasis on their attitude than what they actually offered. Cain's attitude wasn't right, and it didn't escape God's attention.

  2. This argument is a giant fail because (1)apostolic Christianity was(and still is) a Torah keeping religion, minus the animal sacrifices (2) Judaism is not based on the Torah. It is based on oral laws and traditions that were not recorded in the Torah. Christ's whole problem with Judaism is that it was based on elevating these traditions above God's laws.

  4. The 1st Commandment doesn't state that there are other gods. It states that a person is not to worship anything as a god except the true God.
