Did he try going to a psychologist? You realize if the trauma is caused by one isolated incident, they can use ECT to program your mind so you never remember it happening. If that kind of thing ever happens and you're suicidal over it, go to a psychologist.

I'm Canadian so we can't carry, owning pistols here is pretty much illegal and I can't recall any time in my life when we haven't had incessant home invasions. Stories like this are delightful and hilarious.

I'm Canadian, and when I'm a senior citizen (if I live that long, which I may not) I'll carry a gun if I can get one somewhere. The law can fuck itself. When you're getting really old, you can't even run away from a threat. You have to shoot at it. There are very good reasons for not wanting young people (say, under 25) to carry firearms. But older people, especially much older? Come on, it's damn near a basic life necessity.

@nova68cutie Bird hunting probably. One round doesn't always cut it

Canadian here, we can't carry. Quite a few do though, just not legally. Open carry is making yourself a prime target, it is not a deterrent!

@DeadeyeLefty The reason why voting is a nuisance to be avoided is that it doesn't make any difference, since Canada is a dictatorship anyway.
2
@DeadeyeLefty Fair enough, but life is too short to waste it worrying about something you have zero control over, let alone waste time pretending you have any say just because you vote. Life in Canada is insanely expensive. It's ridiculous. People are too tired and distracted to waste time on politics. You have to try to enjoy what little time and energy you have, why waste it on politics? Those guys are paid to worry about it, you're NOT paid to worry about it, so why waste your life on it? See what I'm getting at?

12 y.o. wants to live like a gangsta, guess they didn't plan on dying like one!

Because politicians and authorities are connected to criminals. They do 'favours' for each other (stalk, harass & assault the target)

Cheap, too. Your open carry gun is cheap and disposable. Doesn't even have to work, give somebody some beers in exchange for a broken old ass pistol, clean it up on the outside so it looks convincing and you give the mugger that one to distract him. Cheap wallet with fake cards & bills too is a good idea.

A car isn't "a piece of iron," it is a hell of a lot of WORK. People have to WORK for them. That time spent working is time you'll never get back.

Is there any particular reason why there's such a massive fuss always being made over this ONE particular style of gun? I'm a 45 year old Canadian and for as long as I can remember they've made a huge fuss over the fucking AR-15 as if there's something special or unusual about it compared to ANY other firearm. I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but why this ONE type? I've fired AR-15s (never owned any) and they're no different than any other rifle, if there's anything unusual about them to me it's that they're usually chambered in a small round (5.56mm) and have soft recoil compared to something heftier. So, what gives?

What do you do for primers? You could probably use a variety of moderately common shit to make the propellant, even match heads if you're hard up. Since it's a shotgun darn near anything will do for projectiles as long as you don't mind buggering up the barrel (which doesn't matter much if it's for home defense and you rarely fire it.) It's the primers that are a bit tricky.
1
@diquadhumungersaur492 At personal defense distances it can't make that much difference, though. The pellet group is almost a slug anyway, it's still mostly packed together. Remove birdshot pellets, mix with some molten candle wax, and reload shell :)
1
Carjacking?! That thing looks like they were ambushed by the Taliban

Do you also thank the "lord" for home invasions?

Not in Canada either, even if your attacker has one. But ultimately, it's up to the judge to decide what else goes down after the brown stuff already has. If it appears to be legit self-defense, a Canadian judge might dismiss the charges against you even though using a gun for fighting is one of the most serious crimes you can commit in Canada. It doesn't matter if it's self defense, it doesn't matter if an attacker is already shooting at you--it's very strictly verboten if you're not on the police force. It's not the gun itself that's illegal since plenty of Canadians go hunting. It's using it for fighting another person, and if you do that the charges are automatic. In other words, it is not necessary for the police to catch you and press charges, and inform you that you're being charged. It's considered to happen automatically, and not turning yourself in to the police and "confessing" your "crime" means that you're considered a fugitive--which is even more charges. That means that in Canada, you shouldn't off somebody with a gun except when you're really mad :)

@apnwu369 Damn, that sounds like something I would have written. Canada is crawling with psychopaths, and a while back I was illegally carrying a gun. I would have been dead otherwise! Fuck Canada anyway, I should have left a long time ago.

What the fuck makes him think a 9mm pistol is a "high caliber" weapon?
1
I don't even live in the United States but this is an invasion of privacy which is a constitutional right.
1
@Nero_Eclipse They're not practical to carry though, you can't really answer the door with it :) I agree that they have a lot of 'boot' which makes them good for defense.
1
@sean5558 I've never been too fond of it.
1
@Cyberhacker3 100 shots is a lot more than you'll need for self defense. Not that I'm any kinda Johnny Tactical sort, but realistically, if you're in the kind of jam that you can't get yourself out of with one mag or cylinder, your ass is probably grass anyway.
1
Nonsense. Crimes of all varieties happen every day, all day, everywhere.
1
As a Canadian, I'd just like to say FUCK CANADA. It's a developing country, and a fucking terrorist state. I've got to hand it to Americans, at least they entertain the idea of giving a fuck. At least they try. Canada is such a weak ass shithole.

What's wrong with desiring money? I wouldn't mind being wealthy, who would? The desire for power over people, though, I don't know... Somebody has to run this bureaucratic clusterfuck known as "The World", the problem is that those who are hard-driven to pursue power over people are the first people who should be violently stopped from doing it. The best person to be is a dangerous monster that loves his freedom, humanity and dignity.
1
I propose a national freeze on income tax, residential property tax, and politicians. Especially politicians. The kind that want their citizens to be defenseless. FUCK CANADA
1
Canadians have NEVER owned "military grade assault weapons." The only ones that Canadians have ever owned are specifically designed for the civilian market. The military doesn't use them.
1
I doubt that there ever has been much difference. If fucking people over is your highest aspiration in life, then street gangs, bank robbery and that crap is all small-time. If you REALLY want to fuck with people, you need to join the police or get involved in government.
1
Gun manufacturing methods are what makes it possible for you to have firearms. Oh yeah, and your founding fathers were sick and tired of government cocksuckers screwing over their people. The second Amendment simply acknowledges what the people who originally started your country decided was going to make the USA an unusual and exceptional country--it's called "freedom", and it comes out of the barrel of a gun. The second amendment is NOT what makes it possible, though. It's industrialization.

@cpiper6338 That's one of the best things I've ever read online! Just because nobody ever hears about something, doesn't mean it never happens.
