  2. $500 is a cheap one. Triple that if you want an ebike with a good top speed and usably long range (i.e. one that's entertaining to ride, as opposed to one that will get you from your house to the corner store).

  5. Dang, and I fret over a can of gas & 2-stroke oil being 6 months old :) I bet this ancient QS stuff that you have is similar to what they used in World War 2 fighter plane engines (Rolls Royce/Packard Merlin, DB-600 series etc.)

  7. These engine kits are surprisingly decent for how cheap they are. I rolled one of these about 5 years ago. Unfortunately they're illegal in Canada and the local constabulary saw fit to nail my nuts to the cross over it. Fortunately the judge was fairly reasonable/merciful.

  8. You're welcome :) One thing to check before installing one of these is whether they're street-legal or not. Fact is, it's pretty safe to assume they're illegal all over the world, even China where they're made, but whether you'll get nailed for riding one on the street depends on how your local police see it. Here in Canada it's an absolute No, Hell No, Triple No, and No Squared, which is pretty funny considering all the really awful crap that goes on around here that the government turns a blind eye to... So, if you have to ask, yes they're illegal :)

I'm pretty sure they were originally intended for people that work for a living, not for snotty little socialites! And why don't they at least make affordable jeans in the USA, if not here in Canada?   12. Jack stands. There's absolutely no reason for a jack stand to cost 200+ bucks. But, there's REALLY no reason for them to cost 10 bucks either! They're not really tools for working on your car. They're tools for saving your LIFE. Use 'em, kids!

  13.  @ProjectFarm  I know, that's why I posted it. When I was very little, my neighbour's son was working under his car without using jack stands, and... Well, you know. USE them, everyone. "Oh, but I'm only checking the ball joints, it'll only take 5 minutes, that's not a long time." No, but it's a LONG ASS TIME when that 5 minutes is the rest of your fucking life! NEVER work under a car that's jacked up. Use those jack stands. The money they cost is easier to replace than, say, trying to replace your LIFE. Now go fix that car! :)
